I was at the location 30 minutes early. I got a chat that said the driver was there. I didn't see him so I asked him where - twice. Then I told him what I was wearing - twice. No response. He finally called me - 30 minutes after the tour time. Said he was on chat with me. But when I told him that he never answered then he changed his story and called me a liar and said he didn't have time to answer the chat. He refused to give me my money back. So un professional.

This was an excellent tour of Ketchikan and offered far better value than the cruise line excursions. Our guide, Shane, was fantastic—knowledgeable, personable, and passionate about the area. Although we were a few weeks early to spot any bears, Shane still made the experience engaging and informative. He covered all the major attractions, including Saxman Village, where he explained the native traditions and totem poles in great detail. It was a well-paced and enriching experience overall. The only minor inconvenience, particularly for Norwegian cruise passengers, is that you’ll need to walk about ¾ of a mile from Berth 4 to Berth 2, as local regulations prevent tour operators from picking up guests directly from the Ward Cove bus stop. This is manageable in good weather but could be a challenge if it’s raining—though this is more due to cruise port logistics than the tour itself. Despite that, the tour is absolutely worth it. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ketchikan and looking for an authentic and affordable experience!

This was such an amazing tour, definitely a highlight from our Alaska trip! Our Ketchikan port day would not have been the same without it. We loved touring the island with a local and learning all about it. Although it rained all day traveling around in the van made it quite comfortable. I highly recommend booking this as your excursion of the day!!!

Shawn was a very experienced guide, knew all the Kodak wildlife spots. While others did not find a bear, Shawn led us to a bear den. We saw lots bald eagles too.

Ask for Ava. She was the best having in-depth knowledge of the area and having lived there for many years. The highlight was her getting us to a place where we could see eagles and Eagle families both young and old.
