Great tour but overpriced. The tour only takes you to places that are free to visit. These places allow you to go further if you pay a free which this tour did not pay.

Leo was fantastic! Being a native, he was very knowledgeable of the culture and the area. Sharing person experience and providing all the information we needed to enjoy our tour. He even doubled back for us to Herrington Cove for a second chance to try and see bears, and guess what, second time was the charm 3 bears strolled by! Such great experience. Leo was fantastic!

  • A Memorable Alaskan Adventure – Thanks to Leo!

Our Alaskan wildlife tour had its ups and downs, but overall, it turned into a truly memorable experience — largely thanks to our guide, Leo. Things started off a bit rocky. The tour guides arrived late, which we understood could have been due to wrapping up an earlier group. However, the initial guide who greeted us was abrupt and not particularly welcoming, which put a bit of a damper on the start. Thankfully, the group was split, and we were lucky enough to be placed with Leo. Leo, a local born and raised in the area, immediately made a positive impression. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely accommodating — especially when he learned we had already explored part of the tour route on our own. Without hesitation, he adjusted our itinerary so we could focus on the bear viewing area. Although we didn’t see any bears (which we completely understand — nature doesn’t work on a schedule), we were treated to sightings of majestic eagles and black-tailed deer. Leo then took us to a beautiful waterfall, where we had time to explore and enjoy the scenery under his guidance. One of the highlights was spotting a whale on the way to the harbor seals. Leo didn’t hesitate — he turned the group around so we could get a better look and snap more pictures. His commentary throughout the tour was informative and engaging, and he patiently answered all our questions. Before wrapping up, we stopped at the totem poles and were given helpful lunch recommendations before being dropped off near the harbor seals. Leo truly made the tour special — he deserves a solid 5 stars (plus a few more if we could give them). The initial interaction with the first guide was a bit jarring, and that’s the only reason we’re not giving the entire experience a perfect score. But if you're lucky enough to get Leo as your guide, you're in for a great day.

This was a fantastic excursion for our family. Ava was a fantastic driver and she showed us the beautiful Ketchikan. We appreciated when she answered all our questions about Alaska and when she shared the every day life in Ketchikan. She tried to stop at the best places at the right time so we could have the best experiences. We loved the beach, the salmon ladder and the cascade she took us. She was more than a guide but rather she tried to share and explain all the life in this unique town and Alaska in general. We loved her sense of humor, very nice and professional. Highly recommended for teenagers and families. You won't get bored and definetly you will appreciate Alaska!
