Begin your day tour with a hotel pick-up in Khao Lak between 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM, and depart for the river. Hop on a bamboo raft and float along the waters, relax and enjoy the stunningly beautiful rainforest around you as your raft is pulled by a local boatman.
Visit a sea turtle conservation center working to save and increase the number of sea turtles in the region. The Royal Thai Navy plays an active role in turtle conservation and baby turtles are brought to the center, where they are nursed for 6-8 months before being released into the sea.
Finish the tour with a trip to Ton Pling Waterfall, the most popular waterfall in the area. Experience the lovely atmosphere and marvel at the amazing environment surrounding you. Swim in the small ponds at the waterfall and just enjoy the relaxing ambiance, before being dropped off back at your hotel.

We had a great experience! The bamboo rafting experience was relaxing and scenic, floating gently down the river surrounded by lush jungle. It wasn’t overly adventurous, which actually made it perfect for our two youn kids. Along the way, we were lucky enough to pick up a baby turtle out of the water and saw lots of snakes. The turtle conservatory was also great, my kids loved seeing all the baby turtles.

There was little water in both the river for the ride with the bamboo raft and the waterfall. Absolutely not the organizer's fault, but there was no waterfall everyone's to see or swim in. But it was still an ok trip to see the turtles but had not done it again. Very nice guides.

Put on plenty of mosquito repellent before you go on the bamboo rafting! It was a very relaxing experience and we saw a couple of lovely birds on the way The turtle conservation sanctuary was really interesting & had a little shop & cafe, neither were very expensive. There wasn't much water at the waterfall but made a nice quick stop on the way back

You see the sea turtle conservation centre with sea turtles at all different ages and learn about if and when they are released to the sea. This followed by bamboo rafting which was very peaceful. If you have a bad back, may not be for you. You see snakes in trees above, butterflies and dragonflies. The trip ends with a small waterfall where you can swim. Take swimwear. There is also a coffee stop and complimentary fruit/ water/coffee after the rafting.

Pleasant and relaxed trip with the best guide / driver Robert. Consider the trip as a pleasant break in the beach life. The only minus was the part where we visited probably Thailand's smallest waterfall - absolutely no matter

We had a pleasant morning away from our resort. The first stop was on the bamboo rafts . Not that much to see apart from a few snakes in the trees. Our raft guy did a great job directing the shallow waters. Some people may find sitting on the raft quite uncomfortable after a while,as it’s approximately 30 mins . Got a slightly wet bottom but not really a problem. It was a very peaceful start to the day. Next we visited the Navy Base Turtle Sanctuary, where we saw tiny to huge turtles! There was a little shop to buy souvenirs and a monument as a reminder of the terrible tsunami. Last stop a small water hole and waterfall. Some guests went for a refreshing swim. Part of the group went on to do the elephant tour , we were given a taxi back to our hotel. We left our souvenirs on the other bus and they kindly dropped them off at our hotel. Many thanks. : )
