Our boats carry 12 passengers each. This allows for small intimate tailored tours. For group booking larger than 12 people, they will be seperated into two boats. Be sure to bring your camera as there are some fantastic views of the Castle and other sights of kilkenny. See the city as both invaders and settlers did, from the river. Our guides cater each trip individually depending on your knowledge of kilkenny history and that of the river Nore, including it's wildlife. This trip will leave you feeling relaxed and having a little more knowledge of the city's colourful characters and past.

Guide was great with historical knowledge. Pretty funny guy also. Very chill atmosphere and relaxing trip down the river. We met other people from America which made the ride interesting and easy to chat.

THE BOAT TOUR WAS INTERESTING AND RELAXING. We enjoyed talking with our tour guide. We saw the castle, took photos of swans and other wild life, and enjoyed a beautiful afternoon on the river.

What a great little boat trip! Ana Marie was so knowledgeable and friendly. She gave us a history lesson on the town and it was perfect. I highly recommend this tour when coming to Kilkenny.

We had a fantastic time on our boat trip – it was an experience the whole family truly enjoyed! The scenery was beautiful! The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming and our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, sharing interesting facts along the way without ever feeling too formal. Even our teenager, who can be hard to impress, had a great time! We’d absolutely recommend this trip to other families and would definitely do it again ourselves!

Fabulous fun. The waterway is amazing and the plants & wildlife plentiful. Cliff made the tour as he was so knowledgable & funny too. He interacted with all the passengers & answered all & any questions we had. It was simply great.

Really fun and interesting tour guide was very easy to listen to and talk to he also let me and offered other people drive the boat adding the the experience he has an incredible amount of knowledge of the history of Ireland.
