5.00This was a fantastic experience. I can’t believe the value we got for the price - especially compared to other offerings in the area. The experience included getting dressed in the kimonos - for which we got to choose the colours and all the accessories. Women got their hair done and got to choose hair accessories too and there was a beautiful spot for photos inside the building. The tea ceremony itself was a unique experience and a nice moment of calm in our hectic Japan schedule. The host taught us the importance of each of his movements and performed his role with such grace and style. All of the staff were friendly and made us feel comfortable. I’d definitely recommend this place. Bonus is it’s in cute little traditional style houses on a very pretty street.

5.00This was one of my favorite moments from my recent trip to Japan. My boyfriend and I had such a great experience! I loved that every step of the tea ceremony was so intentional and performed with passion. There were so many options for kimonos and even hair accessories. Everything felt very personalized and intimate. The matcha itself was delicious and I am still dreaming about the sweets I had alongside the tea. I would recommend this experience to anyone coming to Kyoto and especially to tea lovers.

5.00Wearing of Kimono costume was amusing and fun. We get to walk around the Gion area after the ceremony while wearing it at no extra cost. It’s amazing how the tea ceremony was performed. Highly recommended

5.00We had an awesome time learning the tea ceremony etiquette with the instructors and it was fun to dress up in kimonos! The service was excellent and they went out of their way to take great photos of us during the event.
