We start here right outside the museum with friendly introductions and a brief explanation about how The Bahamas in particularly Nassau was established.
Pompey Museum of Slavery & Emancipation
Guide will explain the history of the Museum and give a brief highlight of what to expect inside for anyone wanting to further explore. There is an admission fee.

2.003-hr walk around the city seeing various government buildings. And we stopped many times just being asked what tree/ plant we were seeing. In the last hour of the walk, we were brought to some shops with overpriced drinks and stuff. We'd have just walked around on our own.

4.00Better than we expected when booked. Outside walking tour around Nassau’ downtown with lots of information about history, culture and modern every day life of the country. Food tour at the end is just a walk around a few crowded mini stores with some samples of chocolate and drinks to try. Be prepared to walk on the sun for 3 hours. Bring hat, sunscreen and water.

5.00This was surprisingly good. Not that I expected bad but I didn't expect such a detailed and enjoyable time. Its a unique experience with an awesome guide. You'll learn a lot of Bahamas history and learn how it is intertwined with many parts of the world. It is 3 hours by listing but if you dont want to shop, just tell your guide that you want to stop at the Remeberance day memorial. That will save you 40 or so minutes of walking and shopping. The shops they take you to are nice but the same items are available in the marketplace near the cruise parts. The catch is you pay what yoh think they deserve. We reserved via Viator and items like $10 per person. The guide explains that she gets $0.00 from them. You simply tip what you would like at the end. 100% recommended! Bring cash
