What To Expect

Day 1

Prasat Beng Mealea, Koh Ker, and Poung Kom Nou.

Koh Ker Temple

Koh Ker, one of the oldest cities in the Khmer Empire, will make you feel like a modern day explorer. Built between 928 AD and 944AD it was home to over 10,000 people. The 7 tiered Prang pyramid is set in the jungle and is about 36 metres high. The ruins are covered in moss and you can see where prayer palaces were built for the kings. At the highest point all you can see around you is forest. With very few tourists visiting Koh Ker you can explore the crumbled and weather beaten ruins at leisure. A highlight is Prasat Bram or Five Temples with two of the brick towers completely overgrown with strangled figs. At the main Koh Ker area Carpark you will find small food and drink stalls but no toilets.

Beng Mealea is one of the most ruin temple in Siem Reap which was built by the great king Suryavarman II, early 12 century and getting popular and popular because of the plant growing around the temple

My mother (63F) and I (26F) booked the two day tour to preah vihear and Koh ker! From the moment we met Vanra he was charming, intelligent and respectful! His description is accurate. Mr.buny the driver never looked at his phone and he made the ride very comfortable! He took our note of wanting to try local food seriously and we had some amazing delicious food! The tour was so good we got to see the main sights but also some new things that we would have never gotten to see otherwise. We were happy to extend to a second night to also go see Banteay chhmar which had some breathtaking temples and a once in a life time dinner in the temple with traditional music illuminated by candlelight. Vanra made our experience truly unique and fun and I will recommend him to all my friends because he knows a lot, but more importantly makes the entire tour as enjoyable for each person as he can.

Ra went above & beyond expectation during my time in Siem Reap. Professional, punctual, and polite, Ra was invaluable and made my trip one to remember. His knowledge & life experience combined with his great sense of humour made my visit one of the best. Mr Ry Vanra is THE BEST.

We did a 2 day trip with Ry Vanra to Preah Vehear on the border with Thailand. Ry is a very careful, and safe driver, he is also knowledgeable about the temples that we visited. It was an overnight trip visiting temples along the way, Preah Vehear in the morning, before returning to Siem Riep via Bantey Srei in the afternoon Ry suggested this route which was very good as there were not many people at any of the Temples. I would highly recommend Rai for anyone wanting to engage his services. Ry is very relaxed, but also very reliable. Jeremy & Eric, Sydney, Australia

Mr Vanra it’s an outstanding driver and guide. Through his expert knowledge we have experienced and learnt more about Cambodia, its culture and the khmer people. His driving is safe and he is sure to take regular rest breaks at interesting places.

I had a great time with Ra. He’s funny, friendly, and knowledgeable. Even on the ride we had a number of interesting and fun conversations, and I never felt bored. He took good care of things and had a fair price. I highly recommend him!
