This tour offers more than a standard visit to the Korean DMZ — it is a journey into one of the most historically significant and divided places in the world. The DMZ stands as a powerful symbol of the Korean War and the ongoing separation between North and South Korea.
During the tour, you will visit key landmarks including Imjingak Park, the 3rd Infiltration Tunnel, and Dora Observatory, where you can look across the border into North Korea. These sites bring history to life and provide a deeper understanding of the Korean Peninsula.
What truly sets this tour apart is the rare opportunity to meet a North Korean defector and hear their powerful firsthand story. This personal perspective offers insight far beyond what typical tours can provide.
With no shopping stops and optional visits to Gamaksan or Majang Lake Suspension Bridge, this tour combines history, authenticity, and unforgettable scenery into one meaningful experience.

Eugene was an excellent guide - very funny and knowledgeable. No fault of his, but the overall tour felt rushed and quite crowded, with over 40 people in the group. It made it difficult to ask questions or have a more engaging experience. If you’re looking for something more bespoke, this isn’t the tour - a smaller group or private option would be better. The defector talk was particularly interesting, but again felt rushed at only 20 minutes, and not everyone had the chance to ask questions. I’d also recommend avoiding weekends if possible. I went on a Sunday and there were huge numbers of tour buses at each site.

Dora was our tour guide that day. She was very knowledgeable of the history that taken place on the itineraries listed. Too bad that the weather was not so good during our visit, we cannot see a thing on the observatory due to the fog :( She was accommodating to help take some pictures of me since I was a solo joiner. I would highly recommend this activity. Thank you so much! ❤️

I thought the experience was very good and our guide Eugene was incredible, very funny and very knowledgeable. It was a very big group and it did feel quite rushed at times and difficult to ask all the questions I wanted too. (Which was at no fault to Eugene as he was dealing with a tight schedule and making sure everyone was accounted for nearly 50 people he had to manage and did a great job) If you want a slower pace probably best booking a smaller group tour or private tour - or perhaps go mid week (I went on a Sunday and lots of people) The talk by the North Korean defector was super interesting but again lots of people in the session, very rushed and only 20mins and not everyone could ask their question which was a little bit disappointing Overall I enjoyed the experience and would recommend, but if you prefer a more slower pace probably not the tour for you and I would look at other options

This is a must-do if going to Seoul. You learn a lot about the history and see different historical places. And I recommend to do the meet-up with a defector. It was very touching to hear her story. The view to North-Korea feels very special as well. If you take your time you see people walking in the fields. It was a day that moved me…
