Learn about Korea’s divided history at the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) on a half-day tour, led by an informative guide. In the morning or afternoon, travel from Seoul to the DMZ, where the country has been split since the Korean War, to visit fascinating sites such as Imjingak Park, the Freedom bridge, the 3rd Infiltration Tunnel and the DMZ exhibition hall. At Dora Observatory, you can even peer through binoculars to observe village life in North Korea.

What To Expect
Your friendly guide will come to pick you at your centrally located hotel in Seoul in the pointed schedule. After all guests are collected, you will be transfer directly to DMZ.
Get out at Imjingak Park along the banks of Imjin River to see artillery and war artifacts that were used during the Korean conflict before proceeding to Freedom bridge, where nearly 13,000 Korean POWs crossed on their return back home to South Korea.

5.00We had Lily as our guide and she was a fantastic host for this. She spoke in English and was super easy to understand as well as energetic. She was very patient with everyone and helped people take pictures along the way. The Majang lake bridge was a beautiful view as we had a very clear day and the tunnel was awesome too. (Heads up it is not build for tall people at all.) Hope you get Lily if you do book as she was a great guide.

5.00An eye opening day alternating between solemn moments (the talk with the defector) to funny to eye opening as well as some beautiful natural scenery. Good pacing and a balance of activities - mind your head in the infiltration tunnel! Being able to gaze into North Korea (on a clear day) was fascinating. Lily was a great guide - fully knowledgeable, funny, friendly and also shared some of her family's story.
If you want a comprehensive tour of DMZ, go with AJ!
