Learn about Korea’s divided history at the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) on a half-day tour, led by an informative guide. In the morning or afternoon, travel from Seoul to the DMZ, where the country has been split since the Korean War, to visit fascinating sites such as Imjingak Park, the Freedom bridge, the 3rd Infiltration Tunnel and the DMZ exhibition hall. At Dora Observatory, you can even peer through binoculars to observe village life in North Korea.

What To Expect

Your friendly guide will come to pick you at your centrally located hotel in Seoul in the pointed schedule. After all guests are collected, you will be transfer directly to DMZ.

50 minutes • Admission Not Applicable

Get out at Imjingak Park along the banks of Imjin River to see artillery and war artifacts that were used during the Korean conflict before proceeding to Freedom bridge, where nearly 13,000 Korean POWs crossed on their return back home to South Korea.

It was an amazing experience, and I’d definitely love to come again and bring my family along. The entire North Korea (DMZ) tour was very smooth, well organized, and hassle free. A huge thank you to Lily from Seoul City Tour for making the experience so engaging, informative, and enjoyable. She shared a lot of fascinating historical and political insights, explained everything clearly, and answered questions confidently. Lily is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and passionate her storytelling really brought the North Korea/DMZ history to life. She truly went above and beyond and absolutely deserves recognition (and a pay raise!). The tour length was perfect not too short and not too long and she thoughtfully gave us breaks in between. The group size was ideal, and everyone could hear her clearly throughout the tour. Without a doubt, Seoul City Tour is very lucky to have Lily as their tour guide. We had so much fun with lily from Seoul city tour, I would recommend this to anyone going to Seoul 10/10 ☺️there’s a lot of hike though so prepare yourself and wear sports shoes! 🙏🏼 But also THANK YOU LILY for being amazing, hilarious and informative.
