DMZ
The DMZ is a unique area where you can observe one country being divided into two. With this tour, you will visit the 3rd Tunnel, DMZ Exhibition hall, Dora observatory and Unification village. Experience the tension but hope for peace in Korea and learn about their history and future. [DMZ Theater & Exhibition Hall] The DMZ Theater and Exhibition Hall offers videos and key artifacts that help visitors understand the painful history of Korea’s division. With displays of photographs, documents, and remnants from the past, visitors can gain a deeper and clearer insight into the historical events that led to the division of the Korean Peninsula.
Imjingak Pyeonghoa-Nuri Park
Imjingak Park, originally established as a place of solace for refugees from North Korea during the Korean War, features several symbolic monuments such as the Freedom Bridge, the Soldiers’ Memorial, and the Peace Bell. Adjacent to it, Imjingak Pyeonghoa-Nuri Park offers visitors a chance to reflect on Korea’s history, the ongoing tensions, and hopes for peace. With monuments like the Mangbaedan, a war-damaged steam locomotive, and open spaces dedicated to remembrance and harmony, the area holds strong potential to be designated as an international peace park.

I highly recommend this tour, especially if you get Evan as your guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable and could answer every question our group threw at him, from history and politics to current developments. What impressed me most was that he always had maps, photos, and visual materials ready to help explain things and provide additional context. The DMZ itself is a fascinating and unique place to visit, but Evan’s explanations really brought the experience to life. Informative, engaging, and very professional throughout the day. Thank you, Evan, for a great experience!

Sook-hee, our tour guide, was amazing! So energetic and passionate, full of interesting stories to highlight the history and the trauma of the sad situation of the DMZ. As the DMZ is a military zone, she took charge to make sure everyone was on time and attentive to expectations required for the visit. Follow-on visits to the suspension bridge and the British Memorial of the Korean War added to the day. Make sure you are up for lots of walking uphill and into a steep tunnel. It’s worth the effort!

Sook-hee was our guide. Ask for her. We had a great time. I had my 14 year old and 10 year old with me and they equally enjoyed this tour.
