What To Expect

Start your day with a true Korean adventure as we explore Mangwon Market to pick out the freshest ingredients for our cooking session. Mangwon Market is a vibrant local market in Seoul with over 40 years of history, and as a Korean MZ Ajumma, it’s where I grocery shop daily. You’ll get to experience shopping at my favorite go-to stores in the market. You’ll learn how to prepare three iconic Korean dishes: Bulgogi (marinated beef), Gyeran-jjim (steamed egg), Kimbap! Our class welcomes everyone, from seasoned cooks to complete beginners. Together, we’ll create a delicious Korean-style home meal and enjoy it in a cozy studio. For a true cultural experience, we recommend you take any leftover kimbap to the nearby Han River, spread out a mat, relax, and enjoy a sunny picnic like a local! All you need is an appetite and a sense of adventure. Come hungry, and leave with delicious memories and a taste of Korean culture. Please make sure to arrive on time! If you’re more than 10 minutes late, you might miss the market tour. Let’s respect everyone’s schedule and have a great experience together!
