Step into one of Kraków’s most visited museums — Schindler’s Enamel Factory, where history comes alive through powerful exhibitions and expert storytelling. This is not a simple biographical museum, but a comprehensive journey through the years of Nazi occupation, showing how war transformed the city and the lives of its people. With a licensed expert guide, you’ll skip the long ticket lines and explore the exhibition “Kraków under Nazi Occupation 1939–1945.” Housed in the former enamel factory of Oskar Schindler, the museum focuses not only on his story, but above all on the daily experiences of Kraków’s Jewish and non-Jewish residents during the war. As you move through the galleries, you’ll encounter original artifacts, photographs, and immersive reconstructions. Much of the exhibition unfolds in a series of narrow, dimly lit rooms, deliberately designed to make visitors feel confined — echoing the fear, pressure, and uncertainty that dominated life under Nazi rule.
Ghetto Wall Fragment
The first stop on the walking tour of the Kraków Ghetto is the remains of the Ghetto Walls — a stark reminder of the confinement that once separated its residents from the rest of the city.

Please ensure firstly that you bring ID with you, unfortunately a couple on our tour were not notified by their travel agent and had to buy tickets again. Schindlers Factory is now a museum about the Nazi occupation of Krakow, and the tour takes place around the old Admin building, a fantastic insight into Nazi occupied Krakow which touches on Schindler but isn’t primarily about him. Very moving though, the second part of the tour around the Jewish Getto was thought provoking but very limited on actually seeing the “getto” has time and redevelopment has taken place and of course the nazi’s destroyed a lot to hide their actions. A very enlightening, educational and enjoyable tour.

Two wonderful tours, one around the factory and one around the ghetto. Hannah was very friendly and knowledgeable. Our family have all different abilities and she catered for all.

It is very difficult to write a fair review of this tour. The first half is NOT a tour of Schindler’s factory. It is actually a lecture tour of the invasion and occupation of Poland by Germany and Russia. Meeting outside 10 minutes before the tour was due to start meant we were stood in -8 centigrade temperature. We met our guide and were given a receiver and earplugs. The tour began. The main focus was on the German occupation of Krakow. Our guide was excellent, she had an immense knowledge and passion. We all found it very interesting. By looking out of a window at the rear of the block we saw the roof of where the factory was. At the end of the tour we were shown a display of the ‘pots and pans’ made at the factory and stood in Schindler’s actual office. The tour of the Krakow ghetto was really interesting. Again the guide (same one) had immense knowledge and passion for what she was telling us. Several times, due to the information we heard during the tour, I felt quite emotional, how can people treat others in such a way? Overall the tour was very good, but should not be titled to give an impression that the first part of the tour was of Schindler’s factory, it is not.

The factory tour was very good. Our guide was very informative. The walking tour afterwards was good, also. However, at the end, we were in an area that was cold, dark, and desolate. We asked the guide and the person with her collecting the headsets how to get back to the hotel. They pointed to the taxi stand and left us there, two elderly ladies. We did not see any taxis parked on this lonely street and we had to get back to our hotel in Old Town a distance away. Luckily for us there was a small grocery store very near. The young fellow working there called a cab for us and gave us updates as to when it would arrive. Scary and anxious situation that we were in. We did arrive back at our hotel about an hour after the walking tour ended.

The Schindler's Factory Museum is so well-done and filled with information, so it was great to have a guide to walk us through the most important parts. I felt the pace of the tour was perfect for my interest level, but if you are someone that wants to read all of the bits of information or wants significant time to reflect on what you are learning, you would be better off without a guide. Following up the Schindler's Factory Museum with a walking tour of the Jewish Ghetto was the perfect way to tie in information from the museum to the places where these things actually happened. Very powerful and a great tour.

Our guide should be rated 10 out of 5. She was a Polish lady who shared her family history and stories during the war times and gave intimate details of every aspect of our tour. She had me in tours on several occasions. She cares so much for her people and what happened in history and we lived her experience.

Joanna provided an excellent tour of the factory and of the previous Jewish ghetto. She was thoughtful of her customers. It was a warm day and as much as possible, she held the tour outside in the shade. She was knowledgeable and informed on WWII history, Schindler’s background, and also about other people who took risks to save numerous Jews. Her English is excellent. I also liked that each participant was given a device and headphones so that we could hear her even if we lagged behind.

Excellent organization and coordination. Our guide, Phil, was outstanding ! Phil’s mannerism, presentation style, and ultimately his extensive knowledge made this tour a high quality experience. Highly recommend.

Had to do this tour! The tour of the factory is more about the history of 1940s Krakow, including what happened in the factory, whilst dispelling myths generated by the Spielberg film. Bartholemew was a gracious guide, full of knowledge, confidence and self-assuredness. The tour was really interesting throughout, although our group was a little larger than he was used to. It took about 90 minutes, then we had a 30 minute break before setting out on the ghetto tour. His knowledge of the area and it's history was full, deep and really interesting. Unfortunately, there were a few Americans on this part of the tour who seemed to think they knew differently to Bartholamew and kept interjecting with useless nd patently wrong arguements and information. We felt sorry for Bartholemew, who kept his cool throughout our time with him. Again unfortunately, due to this we left the tour early and carried out the rest on our own. No reflection on Bartholemew, whatsoever, he was great.
