Experience one of the most memorable lessons of modern history. Visit UNESCO World Heritage Site, a former Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz-Birkenau, where more than a million Jews and other prisoners were oppressed or killed during World War II. The flower strewn Death Wall, national memorials, gas chambers and crematoriums, preserved ruins, the remains of hundreds of barracks, watchtowers, the railway line and ramp - all this forms a moving testimony to the number of those who lost their lives. The tour is led by a sensitive, licensed and local guide which helps to understand the touching history and cruel things that happened there.

-Avoid crowds skipping the long line for individual visitors

DOCUMENTS: You must provide full names of all participants when reserving and bring a passport or ID for entry to Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum. Without these, entry may be denied.
VISIT: At Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum, hundreds visit daily, making individual pacing difficult. Respectful behavior and smart casual dress are mandatory. Eating, smoking, and loud behavior are prohibited on-site.
PICKUP: Some Krakow hotels are in traffic-restricted zones. Pickup will be arranged from the nearest accessible point, with prior notification.
LUNCH: Lunch is not included. There's no time for a regular meal between visits to Auschwitz and Birkenau, so bring a snack. A grocery shop, snack bar, and restaurant are NOT available on-site.
SECURITY: Be prepared to go through a security check (similar to the airport's one) in order to enter Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum.

RENOVATIONS: Due to extensive renovations in the western part of Krakow, we regret to inform you that we are currently unable to accommodate pickups from that area, because it causes traffic jams and delays. Also, the meeting point at Floriana Straszewskiego 19 (next to the Philharmonic) will be temporarily closed. For anyone who lives in the area, we can find a convenient and safe place for a pickup. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.

The tour company changed some details that did not please us. We booked a tour to commence at 9:15am but we were told that pick up was changed to 6:45am. We were not given any reason. We expected a more comfortable larger bus but had no option but to sit in the front of a smaller vehicle with limited leg room. The museum tour was very efficient and well run but with no time to linger and reflect. A great experience and honour of course but with rushed efficiency. This is not necessarily the fault of the tour company.

We booked through VIATOR and were contacted by Hello Cracow. They contacted us using WhatsApp about 10 days before our scheduled tour which was great. Then they reached out a few days prior to let us know that our pick-up time might be changed, and that was perfect so that we knew to keep an eye out for his messages. If you do this tour, but sure to block off the day for this event. Don't try to schedule multiple things on this day as you have to be flexible with the start time. The crowds are HUGE and they have a well oiled process in place to make sure everyone gets a tour. We were reminded of where to go to catch the ride and we were offered food (for a small additional fee) as there is no food upon arrival. Each part of the tour is less than 2 hours, with a 15-25 minute break between each part, so you don't really NEED food. Communication was excellent and responsive. We had booked a 7am starting time and is was moved to 5:40am, which was perfectly fine since the sun comes up in the summer very early in Poland. Everything worked like clockwork. The day was very hot and the government controls the site. They decided that our tour had to be cut short, but our driver kept us informed. There is no shade in the 2nd half of the tour and people of all ages attend, so the government errs on the side of caution. The tour was excellent. It was well organized. There were opportunities to use free restrooms and there was an opportunity to purchase small remembrances of the trip. Our driver was Norbert and he kept us organized and on time. Our tour guide was excellent and we learned a lot. She also responded well to our many questions. Our trip started at 5:40am, our tour started at 8:30am and ended by 11:30am and we were back in Krakow by 12:15pm. We still had the rest of the day to enjoy the city. But we saw 1000's of people arriving continually. We went on July 3rd, 2025. I recommend this company! Get on WhatsApp before you travel. Be attentive to your texts. Be on time. Bring water. Get to know the people in your group so that you can stick together for the sake of the driver. Bring your passport or some photo ID.
