From checking in with Ray Ray (who was quite entertaining) and getting the tour with Aaden (who was very knowledgeable), the whole experience was great.

The Movie Sites and Ranch Tour at Kualoa Ranch was great! It isn't as long as the Jurassic Adventure Tour but you do still get one Jurassic Park stop (at the same location as the Skull Island stop). Yes, the vehicles are open air and yes, we did get wet since it was raining but we still had a great time! Our guide was knowledgable and shared information about each movie site we drove by as well as some of the workings of the ranch. They are very serious about timekeeping and so do make sure you get there to check in when they advise so that your tour can leave on time! The entire ranch is very organized and is well maintained. We didn't eat in the cafe but we did visit the gift shop and they had a good variety of items to purchase as souvenirs. We enjoyed our time at Kualoa Ranch and would definitely recommend a visit!

This was part of Norwegian Cruise Line "11-Day O'ahu Explorer Hyatt Waikiki Ocean View Cruisetour". The description was "Scenic South Shore & Kualoa Ranch". Our day started out great, but it was raining. As the bus tour at the ranch was about to begin, it started raining very hard. We discovered that the bus was an old green school bus and all the windows had been removed, except those next to the driver. We were driven on a dirt road, where we mostly saw "posters" indicating where a movie scene had been filmed. It rained harder and harder as the tour continued. Everyone in the bus was getting completely soaked. Our raincoats did nothing to keep us dry. Even though everyone on the bus was complaining and yelling for our bus driver to keep going, instead of stopping at the "posters", he continued to stop and talk. Sure, he has a job to do. One might let this slide, except for the fact he was literally laughing out loud at us because we were getting so wet and complaining. Remember, he had windows around him and he is staying dry. Our tour bus driver's name was Trevor. After the "tour" was over, we discovered that the tour not only continued through a thunderstorm, but through a major flash flooding event. From the National Weather Service : "Significant flash flooding occurred along both the windward and leeward sides of the mountain range, with the most notable and widespread impacts in the Kaneohe, Waiahole, Waikane, and North Shore areas. Several roads were closed” The area had experienced instant downpours equivalent to about 8.5” per hour.
