We enjoyed this trip so much. We saw so many frogs and insects and even some mammals (civets, a fruit bat and a shrew) plus a bird (weevil), some impressive spiders (huntsman and scorpiontailed orb weaver) a snake (viper). Our guide, Danny, was so interesting (we weren’t a lot from Danny about Sarawak’s history and about its wildlife) and he had “eagle eyes” - he spotted the tiniest things that we never would have spotted, even right in front of us. Would thoroughly recommend this tour and Danny was brilliant. Thanks for a fantastic tour.

I had the absolute best time with Danny at Kubah! He found so many frogs that I couldn't even see at first when he pointed them out, so there's no way I'd have found so many without him! I think we literally saw 10 types of frog, a lizard and a snake. I also mentioned that I liked pitcher plants and he went out of his way to find some for me. The weather was bad and initially we thought we were going to have to reschedule but thankfully Danny went above and beyond and we drove to the park hoping that the weather would be better out there, which it was! But he was still happy to hike with me in the rain to spot the frogs! The highlight of my trip was seeing the world's smallest type of frog, which Danny heard the call of and found for me!! Very very happy with this trip. I had to pay double as a solo traveller (which is fairly standard out here it would seem) but I had the best time so I don't regret it! I felt safe being alone with Danny and he answered all my questions about Borneo and also helped with my onward travel! Highly recommend!!

Danny is an exceptionally professional guide with a keen eye and extensive experience. Thanks to him, we were able to spot over 15 species of frogs in just over two hours, including the Bornean Long-nosed Horned Frog and Wallace's Flying Frog. On many occasions, without his guidance, we wouldn’t have been able to detect frogs that were right in front of us. It was a pleasure spending this wonderful night of frog seeking with him.

I've also been mixed wild for a decade or so and thought I'd seen all sorts of big animal scenes...But under Mr Danny, I'm starting to doubt myself! A dozen species of frogs a night! What an outrageous thing this is!!! Never thought of it. Don't miss it for two climbers! It's paradise here! I'm looking for the kind of record of two crawls a night... Before that, five or six were happy a night! I can't believe it's just a fraction of what's here!!! I went at the end of June, and now I'm planning to go again at the end of August!

Excellent tour with Danny. He was prompt and energetic with a keen eye for spotting the frogs, lizards and stick insects. We saw about 14 species of frogs/toads and the walk to the pond was uphill but easy as we had to stop to view the sightings. Highly recommended.

Danny was a super guide who had a keen eye for everything in the forest! We were lucky enough to see 17 species of frog, snake, 3 species of lizard and some other cool critters! On top of that Danny's enthusiasm and friendliness truly made it a fab froggy evening!!

We had an unforgettable experience exploring Kubah National Park with Danny! From the moment the tour started, it was clear how passionate and knowledgeable he is about the park’s wildlife. Thanks to his sharp eyes and expertise, we spotted so many incredible creatures — from tiny, beautifully patterned frogs to snakes, lizards, and other fascinating animals we would never have found on our own. Danny shared interesting facts and stories about each species, making the walk even more engaging. He was patient, enthusiastic, and always made sure everyone had a chance to see and photograph the wildlife up close. The night walk through the rainforest felt magical, and his respect for the animals and the environment was truly inspiring. If you’re visiting Kuching and want to experience the rich biodiversity of Kubah National Park, I can’t recommend Danny enough. It’s an adventure I’ll remember for years!

I am most thankful that my friend arranged for me and my daughter to go frogging with Danny. He has very keen eyes and we spotted 13 species of frogs in one evening! Biggest bonus was when he spotted a civet up in the trees. Not to mention the north Bornean prickly Haaniella echinata, an endemic stick insect. I enjoy the evening so much this is not going to be my last frogging!

Danny the frog whisperer was a wonder to witness - he has the eye of hawk and we saw more frogs than I could even try to make up! We were the envy of other tours, our small knitted new frog family. We cannot recommend it enough, get yourself a Danny and some new frog and other insect friends!

We had book the herping activity at Kubah National park at the last minute around 2 PM on 4th July for 2 members. This wad one of our best activities we had during our stay in Sarawak. Danny our guide, was great and helped us spot more than 15 species of frogs and we were lucky enough to find Speckle-headed Whip Snake, geckos, flying lemur, insects and few spiders. All thanks to Danny for his expertise in making this activity ❤️. Please go for this without a second thought. Here are some of the photos I took. My only regret was me not carrying a macro lens for my camera 😁.
