Meet up at your hotel lobby at 8:00am (in Siem Reap) Your guide will introduce you to a variety stop through different spots outside of Siem Reap with a Jeep to Kulen Mountain, one of Cambodia’s most sacred mountains, with deeply revered ancient sites and ruins on its high plateau. The roads are peaceful, narrow, and very pretty all the way to Kulen Mountain.
There are plenty of beautiful countryside views to see along the way as we drive past rice paddies, local markets, schools, villages, and Buddhist temples. Stop off to visit Palm Sugar Village, where they make palm sugar out of palm juice.

If you want to be the envy of all the other tourists heading to Kulen National Park, consider booking a trip in a vintage Jeep. The vehicles are immaculately maintained & obviously treasured by their drivers. This was our second trip with August, our guide for the day, & it was equally as informative & entertaining as the trip to the temples at Angkor Wat, Ta Promh & Bayon. The drive out to Kulen Mountain takes you through rural Cambodia & we made a couple of pit stops at palm cake & noodle ‘factories’, watching raw coconuts turned into scrumptious palm cake & rice flour turned into noodles. The open Jeep enables you to take in all of the varied sights & smells that you would miss in the comfort of an air-conditioned bus, plus you can ask to stop if a photo opportunity presents itself. The roads are rough once you arrive at Kulen & the Jeeps are better able to navigate the ruts than the tuk-tuks or buses. We visited the sleeping Buddha, 1000 Lingas & the amazing cliff top, from which the views are spectacular. August knew to visit the cliff top last & it was deserted (every other tour stopped there first & it was ridiculously crowded.) This is money well spent if you want a unique experience during your Cambodian holiday.

We had Sorphea as our guide and Sey as our Jeep driver. What a great way to see the countryside and the Mountain. The fresh breeze was totally refreshing as we admired the sights and views. Sorphea was an engaging and knowledgeable guide. Sey was always helpful, friendly and a safe driver. Would highly recommend this tour as all aspects were enjoyable.

Sorphea our tour guide and Saveurn our driver were waiting to pick us up at the hotel spot on time. We started our morning after introductions with some general information of what we our morning itinerary was going to be and then we were off on our adventure. Our first stop was at a small village on the way to the mountain where we saw and then taste tested palm cakes. Then we were off again and stopped at another small village to see how rice noodles were made right from the preparation of the rice to its grinding and ultimately made into rice flour from which the rice noodles were eventually made from. The last part of the process reminded me a little of fresh pasta making. From there we continued in until we eventually reached the start of the climb up the mountain. I don’t want to spoil the trip too much for you but between the amazing views and thorough briefings from Sorphea it was an awesome outing. I will say that one of the perks of driving in the jeep is your exposure to all the elements including both the refreshing breeze to help cool you down and then dealing with the sudden and heavy downpour post lunch in our way back to the hotel. It made my husband and I laugh with Sorphea trying to stop us getting wait. It didn’t bother us one iota and in fact just added to the enjoyable morning we had out. I’ve added a couple of pictures to tempt you into taking this tour which I highly recommend to the adventurous sightseer. You will be very well taken care of by the team. We definitely were.

We recently did this Jeep tour and it was a wonderful experience. Driving in the Jeep offers a more immersive experience as you can see, hear, smell the forests and villages as you pass by. We visited a village where we were able to see steamed rice and coconut cakes being made, as well as trying these delicious treats. Driving up the mountain we got to see the beautiful forests, sheer cliffs and the River of 1000 Lingas, culminating in the sleeping Buddha carved into the top of a huge rock surrounded by a temple complex. We also stopped at the spectacular Kulen waterfall before heading back down the mountain for a wonderful lunch in a local village. Our guide for the day was August and he was so knowledgable about the history of all the sites we visited and was happy to share his knowledge with us and answer any questions we had. Our driver Sovan is a master Jeep driver and also supplied us with stories and some history and a wonderful fruit platter along the way. We enjoyed the trip immensely and would definitely recommend it if you get the chance!

Phon (our guide) was excellent. Knowledge of history and area 1st class. Spoke English very well so no issues for us. Jeep was great way to see the area....countryside was stunning....with locals all going about their day. Loved it. Pity we don't have more time here now we've had a taste. Recommend this tour for sure.

We've spent a day with guide Sorphea and driver Vuthy. Both very experienced, humble, friendly, professional and made us feel safe during the day. Transportation was in an open original US army truck which added to the overall experience.

What a fun day! With August as our guide we headed for the mountains in a jeep. We stopped at panoramic views along the way and traditional villages ending up at a lovely waterfall - where we actually took a dip. Bring your swimsuits! Had a filling lunch along the way.
