What To Expect
Kumbhalgarh Fort
The trip start with a pickup from the railway station / airport or hotel or any desired location in Udaipur. (Pickup timing 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM). The journey begins with a visit to Kumbhalgarh Fort, which is referred to as being the second-largest wall in the world. The Kumbhalgarh Fort was built in the 15th Century. The majestic fort separated Mewar from Marwar and it was built for this purpose. Located 84 kms north of Udaipur in the wilderness, Kumbhalgarh is the second most important citadel after Chittorgarh in the Mewar region.
Ranakpur Jain Temple
Visit the most famous Jain temple in Jainism, Ranakpur. It was built by the famous king of Mewar Rana Kumbha. Temple has a total of 84 bhonyra (underground chambers) built to protect the Jain idols from the Mughals. The temple is famous for its beautiful carved idol of Parshvanatha made out of a single marble slab. The idol has 1008 snake heads and numerous tails. After the magnificent experience, we will drive you back to Udaipur and drop you off there.

He is an able driver navigating the mountain roads very well and has a charming personality. Our guide at the fort was very informative. Overall an amazing trip! 5.00We had a great day visiting Kumbhalgarth fort and Ranakpur Jain temple. We were fortunate to have Prakash as our driver. He was courteous and helpful and we felt entirely safe with his driving at all times. The Kumbhalgarth fort is amazing of course. Our guide was Arjun who did a great job of bringing it to life for us. The lunch choice was good, we had vegetarian curry and dal with rice and naan which was very tasty. After lunch we visited the Jain temple with stunning carvings in white marble. Overall a great day trip from Udaipur, if you have the time

5.00We had a wonderful time during this day trip. Our driver Mukesh was punctual and very friendly. Kumbhalgarh and the Ranakpur Jain Temple are sites to behold and definitely not to be missed. Our guide at Kumbhalgarh, Arjun, was also very friendly and knowledgeable and answered all our questions, letting us take our time around the fort. Guides are not allowed at the Jain Temple, so we recommend taking the audio tour to get a full appreciation for the temple history. I’d highly recommend this day trip if you’re spending time in Udaipur.
