On this fun filled day tour you can take in the magnificent views aboard the Kuranda Scenic Rail, spend some free time in the mountaintop village of Kuranda, then soar above the rainforest canopy on the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway. Our coach will then transfer you to Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures – the best place to see crocodiles in Tropical North Queensland! At Hartley’s you’ll explore the Melaleuca Wetlands on a boat cruise, marvel at the death roll of a Saltwater Crocodile and explore the wildlife park - home to Koala’s, Wallabies and Queensland’s Southern Cassowaries.

Skyrail Rainforest Cableway
Glide over and through the canopy of the ancient rainforest and marvel at the spectacular views from Skyrail Rainforest Cableway. There are two stops along this gondola journey where you can alight and explore the rainforest from within.
Kuranda Scenic Railway
Take a historic journey on the Kuranda Scenic Rail, travelling through the rainforest and along the mountainside of Barron Gorge.

5.00Highly recommend, it was a great day. Train trip was relaxing, Kuranda had plenty to offer, Skyrail was great and the views spectacular. Hartley's Crocodile Adventures was well worth the visit, the guides were amazing, very knowledgeable and down to earth.
It is nice trip espically with skyrail

5.00This was the best tour we did during our recent stay in Cairns. There’s not much time to spend in Kuranda if you want to go to the butterfly sanctuary etc but enough time to have a walk through the Main Street and grab a quick bite for lunch. Hartley’s was a really good experience, we highly recommend going even if not during a tour!

5.00Great trip. Very memorable. Really enjoyed the Scenic Rail and its beautiful landscape. The Skyrail was magic as you were flying above the rainforest and the finale at Harleys was fantastic. Saw lots of crocs and other animals. Brillant..

3.00The railway ride is nice, you get to see the rainforest and some waterfalls. 90mins was a long journey. We were lucky it wasn’t hot as the seating is tight. The little town of Kuranda is nothing special. Tourist items to purchase. The Skyrail is great and gives you the opportunity to see more of the rainforest. We then went to Hartleys Crocodile Adventures. This is a fabulous park for snakes and crocodiles you won’t be disappointed. The park was not overly busy and was easy to walk around. The pace of this tour was good. Could possibly leave Hartleys 30mins early then is currently on the itinerary. I feel the Kuranda piece is more for older tourists. I did hear there is a first class lounge on the railway, maybe that would add to the experience.

3.00It was far too rushed. To get on the sky train to catch the bus connection for Hartleys Park, you pretty much have to give up any time at the village when you get off the train. This was very disappointing. Also time at Hartleys park is limited so you cannot get to see everything. This trip should be broken in to two separate trips. The Rainforest is however beautiful and Hartleys crocodile park is well worth a visit.

1.00Viator booked, confirmed and took payment for our tour on a once of a lifetime trip to Australia. The morning of the tour, the bus never showed for pickup. Upon calling the tour company, they said they didn’t even offer the tour on the days we booked it for through Viator. We wasted an entire day of our trip because at this point, it was too late to book another tour.

5.00It was a well executed day by Down under tours, Ricky and Marshall were our drivers and were friendly, and gave informative commentary on what we were seeing throughout the drive up to the railway station and during the rest of the day. The weather was really hot on the day of our tour, which made the train pretty uncomfortable but still worth it for the scenery, Kuranda is a nice little place with lots to see and do, we loved the Skyrail and spending the afternoon at Hartley’s but it was just so hot for us!
