  You are paying for transportation only. If you expect a guided tour you will be disappointed. The bus picked us up, brought us to the cable cars, and then picked us up at the bottom of the railway. It was great! Just unexpected based on the wording of the tour. The train is fine at best - but the cable cars are incredible!! I wish we had just ridden those twice and skipped the train. Kaunda is a cute town with lots of shops and restaurants! The tour listed and end time of 5pm, however the train was not back at the station until after 5 and then we had to continue with drop offs, so don’t make any plans until later in the evening.

  Of course we booked a Great Barrier Reef trip while in Cairns, and this seemed like the other "must see". The Skyway ride was fun and had some amazing views. The stops along the way were informative and again great views. The town itself was far less impressive. On the October Sunday we were there about half the restaurants and stores seemed to be closed. The zoo was fine but very small. The train ride back was not as impressive as the skyway. It was slow, hot, and much of the time you aren't seeing much of anything. Overall, glad we did it but might have been better to rent a car and take the skyway both to and from, be on our own schedule, and skip the train.

  Please go to the Skyrail and book direct. Do not book with Viator/Tours Down Under. They did not have our location as a pick up point so we had to get a cab to Skyrail which was fine but they don’t inform you that the scenic railway finishes at Freshwater and once we got off the train, no coach would take us back to the Skyrail. Viator also did not send me the QR code for entrance and spent 22 minutes on the phone to ask them to send it.

  We went up on the skyrail and back down on the train. The experience was amazing and we loved it. The only thing we wished we had done was go earlier in the day as it was extremely hot and humid and if I did it again I would try travelling up on the train and back down on the skyrail. Our transfer driver Glyn, from Down Under Tours was brilliant and very informative, I would recommend going with this company.

  This tour was a whole day tour beginning with the scenic railway. If you are a railwaynerd it is interesting, but it is far from scenic. It goes trough a rainforrest with a very few spot with nice view, but it is difficult to see anything because the way you are seated in the train. Only one of four can see trough the window. Next you arrive to Kuranda city with a lot of touristshops. Not very interesting. You will need to spend some time, before going to the Rainforest Nature Park. There you will a dinner , not very good. The wildlifearea is not very interesting, few animals in small spaces. The WW2ducktour is funny, but you won’t see much due to noise from the vehicle. The Skyrail where cancelled. The only thing which give it 2 star is the butterfly sanctuary. It is very amazing. Overall way to expensive. Save the money for something else.

  Relaxing experience to go up to Kuranda by cable car and take the train downhill. Amazing views into the gorge. Enough free time to explore Kuranda or join optional activities.

  It was a great excursion everyone was very helpful on the Skyrail and the train station. The only problem was getting any help from restours.com They wouldn't take my calls. The staff at skyrail had to call.

  This was a mistake. We were on a cruise ship that docked at Yorkeys Knob. We should not have booked this from Viator as their expectation was that one would take the bus at the port into Cairns and then be transported from there to the SkyRail. Do Not Do This. Book directly with Sky Rail and get a bus right from the port. It was very difficult to manage, find our way, get our vouchers exchanged, do the Sky rail, find the train and return with no idea how to get back to the port. Worst Viator "tour" with no tour director ever. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!!!

  Picked up from hotel- my husbands walker placed in storage on coach. Arrived given priority loading into gondola- transferred efficiently into next gondola and I managed transfer using the lift from gondola station to railway platform. Left husband at railway tea rooms while I explored Kurrandu. Views from gondola and train were spectacular. Staff were excellent.
