Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter
Canals were built to allow boats and barges to navigate between the city's storehouses and the nearby port. A central section of the city's former canal system has been preserved in the Bikan Historical Quarter (倉敷美観地区, Kurashiki Bikan Chiku). The weeping willow trees that line the canal and the stone bridges that cross over the water make for a picturesque scene.
Ohara Museum of Art
The Ohara Museum of Art (大原美術館, Ōhara Bijutsukan) was Japan's first museum of Western art. It is a private museum consisting of three adjacent buildings next to the canal and a separate building located in Ivy Square. The Main Gallery building was constructed when the museum was founded, and features most of the museum's highlights. On display are masterpieces of Western art by Picasso, El Greco, Gauguin, Modigliani, Rodin, Klee, Pollock and Kandinsky among others. The artists in the collection span a wide variety of periods and nationalities. 1300 yen (includes entrance to the Kojima Museum)

My guide, An was wonderful. She took me exactly where I wanted to go. And she is very knowledgeable about the history of Tokyo. She is very patient and believe me, that's not easy dealing with me. I am all over the place and a total mess, but An was very sweet and calming and very attentive to me and my needs. She was very good at explaining the trains and Metro system to me enough that I may be able to explore on my own tomorrow. And to top it all off, she carried MY BAGS the whole day. That was just above AND beyond anything I expected. I was nervous at first but An put me at ease the moment we met. She was absolutely FANTASTIC!

We had the nicest tour guide to show us the lovely town Kurashiki is. Definitely recommend, especially if you want to experience some quiet after visiting hectic Osaka.

Yoko is a fantastic guide! Yoko was very accommodating and met us at the train and took great care of us all day! We had a wonderful lunch at her suggested restaurant and then set out on our day to Kojima. We were very impressed that Yoko had scouted the jeans Street prior to our tour and showed us the best shops. This tour from Osaka for young people would be so successful. We had a fantastic day! We would recommend Yoko and the tour to everyone!
