What To Expect
Kutaisi
Tour starts from the central square of Kutaisi. Here guide tells about history of Georgia and Kutaisi. After taking pictures at fountain group continues down to central park where are located statue of sister “Ishkhnelebi” and memorial of “9 April”. Afterwards we pass by Kutaisi city hall, Opera house and visit “Mon Plasir” arch. Then we pass by the first gymnasium and visit white bridge, then go through park of love and visit Golden marquee palace. Then we go to central grocery market called “Mtsvane Bazari”.
Tskaltubo
We explore abandoned soviet sanatoriums in Tskaltubo. Firstly, we visit Spring #6, where the guide tells about Soviet occupation. Afterwards we walk to the Spring #8 that has the most unusual architecture among Tskaltubo springs. The following place is Spring #5. The next stop is Sanatorium Gelati, specially built for children and there is an old playground and a beautiful viewpoint over the inner construction. After "Gelati" we walk to sanatorium "Medea", following with "Druzhba". The last sequence of the tour is the train station of Tskaltubo.

5.00This trip didn’t exactly go as planned, so it actually only got better. I was supposed to go at 09.00 from Batumi to just go on a wine and dine experience, but ended up first going on a monastery tour, city tour of Kutaisi and then a wine and dine tour - all of them were great! It had something to do with logistics so they asked me if I wanted an upgrade free of charge. I’m very happy I accepted! The guides know what they’re talking about, and the other people involved in different areas went went to are highly knowledgeable and enthusiastic about what the do. Just book it!

4.00A leisurely excursion from Batumi to Kutaisi. The support from the agency is perfect. Driver and guide very nice and dedicated. The 1-hour tour of the narrower centre of Kutaisi focuses on the essentials. The winery visited is modest, the Owners friendly, the food delicious and good wine flowed abundantly. However, one must bear in mind that the transfer takes about 3 h. The return journey in my case took 5 1/2 hours because waiting time, stopover, often cows on the road and very dense traffic were added.

5.00Firtsly, the guide took us to the cathedral and monasteries and talked about religion in Georgia, that was quite interesting. Then I had walk around the city where all the highlights were shown, the guide helped me make some shopping at the Bazar. Third was the wine and dine experience - it was the most delicious georgian food I have ever tased :D I was taken and brought back to Batumi with a private car with AC. Between the activities in Kutaisi there was some free time to walk around the city. It is a wonderful tour and I'm supprised that the description on the tripadv is so poor and points are missing in the itinerary.
