Discover Kutná Hora the comfortable way — without the rushing typical of most tours. Spend a full day exploring in a small group at a relaxed, unhurried pace.
After convenient hotel pickup in Prague, we begin at a rarely visited folk village museum. We peek into traditional huts and learn about Czech crafts and traditions.
After lunch, we explore Kutná Hora, once one of Europe’s richest towns. Visit two cathedrals, stroll cobblestone lanes and see the Royal Mint and Palace. We also stop at viewpoints or meet artisans like a winemaker, ceramicist or jeweler.
We end the day at the Bone Church (Sedlec Ossuary), visiting in the late afternoon when it is usually quieter, before returning to Prague.
Please note: The folk museum is closed on Mondays and in winter (Nov, Dec 31–Mar 15). On these dates, we visit alternatives such as Český Šternberk Castle or the Folk Costume Museum.

What To Expect
Polabske Narodopisne Museum Prerov nad Labem
Your guide will take you through a peaceful countryside museum filled with timbered cottages, barns, and historic interiors that capture centuries of Czech village life. Step inside homes, peek into an old schoolroom or stable, and discover folk traditions — some of which are still alive today. Please note: The open-air museum is closed on Mondays and seasonally in November and from December 31 to March 15. During these dates, we’ll visit another charming site that fits the spirit of the tour.
St Barbara's Cathedral
Visit one of Europe’s most remarkable Gothic churches, built by miners in honor of their patron saint. With soaring vaults, colorful frescoes, and dramatic views over the former silver town, this UNESCO landmark offers both artistic beauty and historical depth.

5.00We just returned from a wonderful week in Prague and our Kutna Hora day trip with guide Ondrej Horak with Czech Out Tours was a huge highlight. From promptly picking us up at the hotel and expertly driving us to the medieval village, we knew we were on our way to a great adventure. Ondrej not only knew every inch of this town, his enthusiasm and knowledge both informed and entertained us, from the majestic views and stories of Cesky Stemberk, one of the oldest castles in the country, to the mysterious bone and skull decorations of the Bone Church. Besides seeing two cathedrals, we explored winding lanes and enjoyed tucked away shops and dined at a local restaurant with a fine selection of lunch options and good service. Not only an expert of local history and a great raconteur of stories, Ondrej truly enjoys guiding and has a passion to share his love of his country. My daughter and I cannot thank him enough for a truly remarkable tour of this beautiful town which set the tone for discovering the magic of Prague and its unique villages. This small group tour is a true wonder.

5.00This tour provided a fascinating look at human skulls and bones, in total 40,000 skeletal remains. These are humans who died from plagues and wars. The ossuary is a humbling sight hat made us contemplate our human existence. Our guide ondrej also took us to the church of Saint Barbara, a stunning cathedral reminiscent of Notre Dame, a combination of Baroque and Gothic architecture that took 6 centuries to build. Ondrej's recounting of Kunta Hora's history made the tour memorable. An added gem was a visit to a replicated folk village where we learned about the daily life, customs, and traditions of the old kingdom of Bohemia.

5.00The day trip to Kutna Hora was a very unique experience. Czech Out Tours alongwith Ondrej had planned it in a very leisurely manner with lots of interesting places to see including the Bone Chapel and St Barbara Cathedral. The lunch was delicious with a fantastic view from the restaurant.

5.00We had a great experience! Andrew was an amazing guide who was very accommodating and informative. My mother had a broken foot and Andrew made sure that she was well taken care of and able to complete the tour. We enjoyed all the stops on the tour. Definitely a must do!

5.00This was such a great tour! We were picked up at our hotel & driven around all day to multiple sites. I didn’t have to worry about anything. The folk village was closed during the time of year that we were there but the private tour we had in the castle was an awesome substitute. Lunch was delicious too! I would highly recommend this company for their small group services. Very personalized!
