Kazu San was our guide. He was knowledgeable, professional and explained the history behind the temples and shrines with interesting stories. He took us to a yummy ( and affordable ) Gyoza/ Ramen restaurant. It was a really awesome day and would strongly recommend this tour and tour guide. Thank you, Kazu.

We did a small private 6 hour tour today with our lovely guide Mizu. She took us to the four temples and shrines that we asked for and we learnt a huge amount. The day was really well paced and we caught some public transport and taxis. Mizu also took us to Japanese restaurant with fabulous food that we had never tried before. It was so great having our own lovely guide as our day was super easy and educational. I highly recommend!!

We loved travelling with Yuka and benefitting from her deep local knowledge. She is passionate about Japan and is full of positive energy. She has wonderful ideas as to how we should structure a day in Kyoto. We have already recommended her to other friends visiting Japan. The day with Yuka was a major highlight of our trip.

We had the most incredible day in Kyoto thanks to our tour guide, Michi. From the very start, he picked us up directly at our hotel, making the entire day seamless and stress-free. His knowledge of Kyoto, Japanese history, culture, and each site we visited was absolutely exceptional — he truly knows so much and shares it in a way that’s engaging, clear, and never overwhelming. We visited Fushimi Inari, Kiyomizu-dera, Sanjūsangendō Temple, and finished in a stunning, serene garden that felt like the perfect place to reflect on everything we’d seen. Michi guided us effortlessly through the city, explained the cultural and historical significance of each stop, and helped us notice details we absolutely would have missed on our own. Beyond being incredibly informative, Michi is simply a wonderful person — warm, funny, kind, and genuinely passionate about what he does. He set such a relaxed and joyful tone for the day that it led to one of the most meaningful moments of my life: I proposed to my girlfriend during the trip. I genuinely have to thank Michi for getting us into such a great mood that asking the question felt easy (and unforgettable). If you’re considering a tour in Kyoto, do yourself a favor and book with Michi. He elevated our entire experience and turned an already special trip into a lifelong memory. I can’t recommend him highly enough and truly hope he gets the recognition he deserves from his agency after this review. We loved him!

Ito-san was a wonderful guide. We booked the 6 hour guided walking tour for our family of four and started early in the morning at 7am. We were able to go to both Fushimi Inari, Kyomizudera and Gion in the 6 hours. Ito-san was very attentive to our group and we learn a lot about all three areas and Japanese culture from him. Even though it was crowded in some areas he knew how to navigate the crowds and get us to each of our destinations. It was definitely money well spent for the experience. I would book a tour for a different location if we visit Japan again.

A relaxing and inspiring tour around the inpressive history and temples of Kyoto. Kazuo Sumi walked us through Fushimi Inari Shrine Torii, 1000 Buddha’s of Sanjusangen do Temple, leaving us breathless when reaching the Kyoto Pagoda in Yasaka & Sannei-zaka. We also enjoyed a warm and deserved lunch in a typical but not overcrowded restaurant, before walking up to the Yasaka Shrine, closing our tour in Gion District. Kazuo was a perfect guide, friendly and discrete, he told us about the history of the amazing monument we were staring, but he also shared some personal stories about the places. We really enjoyed the time spent with Kazuo and highly recommend him as the perfect guide for Kyoto.
