We are here to help you discover new things, the Fushimi Inari Shrine is so more than its famous tunnels of vermillion-red torii gates. Most people are satisfied by a scenic view of it. But this has a lot of stories to tell that will connect you to the Japan's history and culture and your guide will show you deeper. We loved our tour! Our tour guide Michi was super knowledgeable about every place he took us and also generally about Japan. He was patient and kind and was agreeable to a request for time and location change. He also took us to a great restaurant. We went to Nijo castle, Golden Pavilion and Ryōan-ji zen garden with him and he taught us so much about the history and symbolism of each place. Highly recommend this tour and request Michi to be your guide!

Michi was a great guide. He was very knowledgeable and personable at the same time. We went to a great place for a sit down lunch together (mid-way through our tour) which was a much needed break from the heat, and the food quality was amazing! You can tell that he really likes his job as a tour guide.

Our family of 4 spent a terrific day in Kyoto with Kazuo Sumi. He used to teach English so was very easy to talk with and understand everything that he taught us about the historical sites we saw in the city. Extremely kind, adaptable and fun to be with. It also turned out we had a Colorado University connection with him and our 2 sons. It was a great introduction to Kyoto!
