Today was our first day in Kyoto and we were very glad to have Kazuhiko Goto as our excellent guide. He provided a great overview of the key sights and experiences that Kyoto has to offer, and then (consistent with our pre-communication) had a plan that we followed to visit temples, shrines, and the bamboo forest. Throughout it all Kazo provided history, culture, and other insights to both inform and engage. It was a great 6 hours and an awesome way to start of visit to Kyoto as we are now more equipped to do other local sights on our own in the coming days.

We had the privilege of sharing the day with Noriko. Noriko shared her love & expert knowledge of Kyoto by giving us the most incredible day. It was the highlight of our entire 8 days in Japan. Her expertise saw us navigating the trains, a bus and a couple of taxis to maximise our time and experience in Kyoto. After a few chats prior to our day, we'd organised to see a mix of shrines, bamboo forest and a garden. Her expertise and planning also allowed us to see the Katsura Imperial Villa and gardens - a most amazing experience. Her joy and attention to detail gave us such an incredible and unforgettable day, one that we will treasure. Thank you so much Noriko!
