Yasaka Shrine
隠れた湧水を巡るウォーキングツアーは八坂神社から始まります。 伝説に覆われた都市・京都は、それぞれ基数方位を表す四神と呼ばれる神獣が守護しているとされる。 八坂神社が建つ東は、アズールドラゴンに守られている。 神社の本殿の下には神秘的な池、つまり龍の巣窟があり、この神が宿っていると言われています。 この霊場から流れ出る湧き水は「祇園親水」と呼ばれ、地元の人々の崇敬が篤い。 この水を飲むと、美人を祀る神社から浮かび上がる「美人水」や「美人水」を数滴垂らすと、内面と外面の美しさの両方が授かるとされています。 芸妓さんや舞妓さんなどが足繁く通う迫力満点のスポット。

Interesting discovery of hidden power spots in Kyoto!

5.00The first time experience to search hidden power spots, busy with people everywhere on the way and at the actual sites however, it is worth to go on to the queue for experiencing Japan tradition. Fun to walk in the arcade you can view a mix of modern/traditional Japanese culture and the small shrine was brilliant, I had tried to draw fortune!
Must visit the Japanese confectionary shop which was delightful!

4.00Overall the Tour was a success due to the organisation, the guide and the incredible soul capturing temples and springs. I was excited to see the Yuba lunch being offered. The service was adequate although the preparation of the Yuba was a little bit disappointing; being presented in a modern way which masked its delicate true taste. The journeys to and from the temple springs, if possible, could capture the senses more if the direction taken is through the back streets as opposed to the hustle and bustle of the main streets. The Japanese confectionery shop was a delightful calming end to the experience.
