What To Expect
Kiyomizu-dera Temple
Your guide will stop near Kiyomizudera Temple, one of Kyoto’s most iconic landmarks. From this viewpoint, you’ll learn about the temple’s rich history, its famous wooden stage overlooking the city, and the spiritual significance of the surrounding grounds. If you’d like to enter the inner areas, such as the Main Hall, Kiyomizu Stage, and Otowa Waterfall, an entrance ticket is required (around ¥500–¥600). You can also enjoy the surrounding historic streets and browse the many traditional shops and snack stalls without entering the paid zone.
Chion-in Temple
Visit Chion-in Temple, known for its massive Sanmon gate and serene gardens. Your guide will explain the temple’s history, architecture, and its significance in Japanese Buddhism. You can stroll through the grounds, admire the gardens, and take photos of the grand temple buildings.

5.00What an amazing day. We traveled all over Kyoto. Our very knowledgeable guide, Yoni, was determined to show us the famous temples along with providing many facts and history. We had a list of what we hoped to visit and KyotoNusa created a special tour for us. We also experienced some Japanese confectionery treats. We asked Yoni to recommend a place for lunch.. oh my she really hit it out of the park, this was probably the best sushi lunch plate I've ever had. We put in almost 10 miles on our tour. A day I won't forget.
