One of the best tours I’ve taken anywhere - Manuel is a wealth of information and I left knowing so much more about not only geisha culture and history but Kyoto as a whole. Can’t recommend this tour enough!!

Excellent walking tour by Yuki (who was local to Kyoto so he was very knowledgeable) he was also very funny which made the tour great fun. The tour was thoughtfully planned out, covering all aspects of geiko’s in a respectful way including history, current culture, training for the geikos/geishas and more. Something to note - the tour starts and ends in a different place. Thank you Yuki - you were truely great!!!

Nami was pleasant, informative, and accommodating on a rainy evening tour of Gion. I would recommend her for a walking tour through Gion District.

Our guide, Nikki was fantastic. Navigating the Gion streets with Nikki was like stepping in the Geisha’s footsteps. Such an amazing cultural experience to understand the longevity of the Geisha tradition and know that it still continues today. Nikki transported us into their world with respect and knowledge of what it means to be a geiko or maiko in Kyoto. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and Nikki’s insights. Thoroughly recommend this tour.

This tour was the best! Our tour guide Manuel was friendly, articulate and or used so much information at each stop. We learned so much about the history of Geisha in Gion/Kyoto and about the Geisha culture. It was a beautiful walk! Great pace and interesting stops. We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Kyoto!
