Our guests will be able to kill two birds with one stone by doing exercise while sightseeing. This allows travelers to see more sites than they would on a normal tour and in less time. Travelers will be greeted by our guides, a fitness professional, and an experienced tour guide at Nijojo-mae Station, where they will be led through a warm-up and a brief history of Kyoto City. They will jog east to the Imperial Palace, where they will see lesser-known hidden gems and take part in Tabata-style exercises. We will leave the Imperial Palace grounds and cross the picturesque Kamogawa before heading to Heian Shrine, where we will make a brief stop. On the next leg of the tour, we will pass through the immense torii gate and jog along the banks of the Shirakawa River, lined with mysterious weeping willows and small stone bridges. This leads us to Maruyama Park and Yasaka Shrine as we wind down to end our tour at the eastern bank of the Kamogawa with some stretches.

Running through Kyoto is an amazing way to see a lot with limited time. The experience with Ariyo was so enjoyable and he was an amazing local host for this run. He is very knowledgeable with all that Kyoto has to offer and his suggestions for other things to do in the area were all great advice.

Really enjoyed this run. My wife gave me this run as part of my birthday present and it was really cool. The guides were really knowledgeable and I definitely visited locations I would have missed visiting solo with the kids. Highly recommend for anyone traveling to Kyoto who wants to experience some cool sites a little differently.

I would give Francis and Areo 10 stars if I could. This is the best way to see Kyoto. We were able to visit a number of the most well known sites but also some hidden treasures that we would never have seen without our expert guides. This is not only a running tour, our guides were very knowledgeable about the history of Kyoto, the spiritual practices, the food, and so much more. Francis even took extra time at the end of the tour to bring us to a local running store when I mentioned this was a site we were hoping to visit!

We really enjoyed this running tour through Kyoto. We went on our second full day in this city and it was a great way to get our bearings and see sites that weren’t packed with tourists. We covered a lot of ground while having nice conversations with our wonderful tour guides, Ariyo and Frances. They let us stop and explore shrines and temples that were open and free to the public so we had nice breaks from the running as well. We ended the tour at Niseka Marker which was perfect as it was on our list of things to do and we were hungry! Would def recommend.
