Arashiyama

Kinkakuji Temple
Kinkaku-ji, or the Golden Pavilion, is one of Kyoto’s most famous landmarks. This Zen temple is covered in brilliant gold leaf, creating a stunning reflection on the Kyoko-chi (Mirror Pond). The shimmering golden structure contrasts beautifully with the surrounding greenery and seasonal changes.Kinkaku-ji is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Kyoto’s most visited temples. 5.00Dhanu gave us such an excellent tour of Kyoto we booked him for a second Tour of Nara . Private Tour of Kyoto-He arrived on time and reviewed the itinerary for the day. He added 2 very special spits that we would have never known about on our own that were in fact the best of this particular tour. He was energetic and very personable. He also knew where to take the best photographic shots and he captured some great pics of our group. Our group of 4 truly enjoyed spending the day learning about Kyoto with Dhanu.

5.00Djano is a nice young man, with passable english skills, he drove a close to brand new minivan which was quite nice, and his recommendations as to what to see and where to eat lunch were excellent. Note that Djano is NOT a licensed guide, but we found his comments informative and we actually liked that he did not talk constantly bombarding us with facts that we would soon forget.

5.00We had a great experience touring around Kyoto with our tour guide, Shan! He was very punctual picking us up in the morning and made sure we were able to see everything we wanted to visit during the 8-hour day. As we visited during the shoulder season, we were luckily able to avoid huge crowds and Shan made sure to give us a ton of information about each of the sites we saw and took amazing photos for us! There is so much to see in Kyoto and having Shan drive us throughout the city (bigger than we thought!) was the perfect way to see it all as we couldn’t have done it all in one day without him! We highly recommend this tour and specifically Shan as a tour guide - thank you so much!

5.00this was the perfect way to see multiple sites around Kyoto in a day. Leshan was a great guide. The great thing about this tour is that you can customize it even as the day proceeds. We went to an authentic Japanese restaurant for lunch that was family owned and very good. We highly recommend this to fill one of your days while in Kyoto.

5.00Dhanesh took us on a fast-paced tour of Kyoto. We had limited time and wanted to see as much as possible and Dhanesh definitely delivered on this. He packed out day full of things we would have otherwise missed or had to choose between. He gave us great insight into local customs and historical perspective. He also took great photos of our family along the way! We would definitely tour with Dhanesh in the future!
