5.00Our family of 5 had a wonderful time dressing up in traditional clothing and taking part in the tea ceremony with a tea master. Everything was timed perfectly and handled well, from selecting our kimonos and accessories to making tea. The women in our group were amazed at how quickly and expertly they were dressed and had their hair styled by the staff. We were given ample time in several locations to take numerous photos. We would not only recommend others do this, but we would love to come back the next time we’re in Kyoto!

5.00The tea ceremony was so special from start to finish. We were dressed by two sweet ladies in traditional ceremony outfits. And then guided through such a sacred and special tea ceremony with the tea master. At the end, we each got to try to make the tea which was so fun! It was a very memorable and sacred experience.

The tea ceremony is a highly recommendable cultural activity; you learn about kimonos, the protocol of the ceremony, and the history of Japan, all with wonderful instructors. Those present were incredibly caring, smiling, and deeply caring. We felt a real sincerity, a rare authenticity that immediately puts at ease. The ceremony itself was magnificent, imbued with Japanese traditions rich in meaning and beauty. It was a real privilege to be able to rediscover them as a family, in such a peaceful and inspiring atmosphere. Each moment seemed suspended in time, like a parenthesis out of the ordinary. We had an exceptional time, filled with positive emotions and precious memories. An experience we definitely recommend — thank you to everyone who made this possible 🙏
