The Kayak is the best way to discover the Green Island (Ile Verte), the Eagle Beak (Bec de l'Aigle) and the Mugel Creek (Calanque du Mugel), evolving over the water enjoying the unic point of view. A map and explainations will be provided in order to enjoy as much as possible depending on the weather. All year long it's a great experience and a sweet way to discover this part of the Calanques National Park. The price is for 6 hours renting from 9:00 am untill 6:00 pm, just have to tell us at the reservation. It's an interesting tour that only a boat can provide you those points of view. The meeting point is at EXPENATURE : 168 Avenue Wilson 13600 La Ciotat on the new port just behing the Casino.

3.00We had booked a kayak from 9am-12pm. Although we were on site very early, the check in only opened at 9am sharp (although the staff were already on site). The briefing was very (too) detailed: anyone who has ever kayaked knows how to hold a paddle... There were some other guests on site, so we could only start at 9:30 am. So we were only available 2.5 hours on the water: too short to reach the island or Muggle Bay in peace: paddling there, looking and back again in a sprint... a great pity that - despite demand - the 30 minutes were not left to us (no, the kayaks were not fully booked for the afternoon!). The entrance to the sea is very slippery, here a railing / handrail would be very helpful and would prevent some falls with risk of injury. The looseners are not locked - anyone can open the compartments. Valuables should not be kept there. The price for 2.5h kayaking (56 € per boat for 2 guides) I find very expensive. We would have liked to book the kayak for the whole day: at 84€ it was much too expensive for us!

5.00Home / briefing and equipment at the top! Kayaking around the green island in the morning with 2 15 year olds. 20/30 minutes to reach the island from the base.

5.00Although we were an hour late, Justine was very kind and understanding of our tardiness. She was very lovely and gave us a good demo on how to paddle properly, and equipped us in the appropriate kit. Although we encountered some choppy waters whilst on our way to the calanques, where we got to swim around by lovely beaches. There is a possibility to visit and island with a restaurant which is very fun. We greatly enjoyed the trip. Would highly recommend, especially if the day is sunny!
