• Disorganized tour , guide with attitude

  A bad experience from the start with the local tour company, Shore Experience (through Viator.com). A bit of confusion and chaos at the ship port terminal meeting up with our tour group. The guide (Luminita or Lumi, as she is known) had a bit of an attitude and was rude with my wife when we were getting checked-in for the tour at the port terminal. This turned out to be a self-guided tour of Florence and Pisa for my family and I rather than the guided tour that was advertised on Viator. No bathroom on the double decker tour bus and no time for a bathroom break when our bus arrived in Florence after a 2 hours ride from the port. The guide (Luminita or Lumi) gives you no time for bathroom breaks. If you go for a bathroom break she will go on with the Florence walking tour without you. If buy the add-on ticket to walk up the Tower of Pisa, it is considered separate from the main Pisa walking tour and you’re pretty much on your own regarding finding and getting to the Tower of Pisa from the parking lot where the tour bus stops in Pisa and finding your way back to the bus (keeping in mind it was our first time in Pisa). We were told that the other guide (Sean) was waiting at Tower of Pisa for anyone in the group who had tickets to walk up the Tower of Pisa. What’s the point of the other guide waiting for us at the attraction?! The other guide (Sean) should have been waiting at the parking lot where the bus stopped in Pisa to meet us. Sean didn’t even escort us when we got to the Tower of Pisa. Sean disappeared after we came down from the tower. Piss poor planning for this tour package by the local tour company, Shore Experience.

  I believe our guides’ name was Michael or Micheala . He spoke several languages and was a good story teller. Was overall a very good experience and the guide was for sur ethe highkight.

  Check in it’s chaotic. Greenshire people are so rude. Doesn’t know whether it’s going on just the beginning of the trip. We’ll see how it goes.

  Our Florence and Pisa tour was fantastic. Our guide, Lorenzo, kept everything running effortlessly, maintaining great control of the large group while still keeping the atmosphere relaxed and fun. Highly recommended if you have a short time in Florence and Pisa.

  Our guide nic name Keiko, was wonderful! He was very knowledgeable of area. Bus was very comfortable. Everyone enjoyed. It was very nice to be on your where our language was spoken clearly so we could get the most experience. My only negative would say we did not get nearly enough time in Pisa. It is a beautiful place and we only had one hour. Not nearly enough time to see anything but outside of leaning tower.

  Keep in mind it was extremely hot, 42 degrees Celsius and my husband has neuropathy in his feet, there was a Lot of walking as we left bus area and followed a walking tour with Marina our host. We finally decided to separate from the walking tour and explored Florence on our own. We enjoyed lunch and took a taxi back to bus. That worked for us. Marina was very knowledgeable and shared lots of info about the surrounding areas as we drove the 2.5 hours to Florence from La Spezia. She explained in detail about the points of interest on a map provided. She was patient with all of us and easy to understand in English. A final note: we were staying in La Spezia; not on the cruise. We were able to join this tour designed for people on the cruise line and simply met them outside the cruise terminal. • The death march!!

  This was a very unorganized group call Shore Excursions. The tour did not provide any water, it was over 105 degrees,did not give time to do nothing even through the ship was due to leave at midnight. The tour guide hardly explain about Pusa and Florence, was left alone to do stuff on my own, had one hour for the academic gallery, and had to pay extra for a listening recorder, one hour in Pisa. Folks got left from the meeting place because it was very difficult to gett back to. Buses had to park at least 5 miles from the center of town.This was one the worst tour groups I ever experienced. I had to pay an extra 100 euros because stipud NCL changed ports.

  It was a very long drive from the cruise ship to Florence and we had very little time to enjoy Florence. The guides provided very little information and were very disorganized.
