This was a full day excursion starting with the city tour of Da Nang, visiting ghee Lady Buddha statue, visiting the marble statue manufacturing company, the marble mountain with a walk around the tunnels, followed by a typical Vietnamese lunch. After lunch visited the coconut jungle with a bamboo basket boat ride, then onto Hoi An- the ancient town, where we witnessed the Japanes, Chinese & French architecture along with visits ti the silk factory, the ceramic painting and the excellent theatre performance depicting Vietnamese culture through song & drama. The icing on the cake was the boat ride with lantern displays and the visit through the market place. Overall the experience was great with a very energetic and lively young tour guide, Mr Hua, who explained in detail at a ghee venues giving good knowledge of the historical background and events. A memorable trip. Take this opportunity to wish Mr Hua, the very best in times to come and may he have more occasions to share his remarkable knowledge with visiting tourists in his jovial & lively manner.
