This full-day tour is the easiest way to visit Humantay Lake from Cusco, without having to worry about planning transport or getting lost. With a local guide, spend about two hours hiking along scenic trails to reach the glacial lake. What To Expect
Humantay Lake
We will pick you up from your hotel at approximately 05:00 AM. We will begin our trip to the town of Mollepata. Where you can see the beautiful Apurímac River with its strong and flowing flow during the two hours of travel. After a delicious breakfast in the town of Mollepata, continue with your trip to the starting point of the walk in Soraypampa which is located at 12,600 ft (3850 mt), walk approximately between 1 hour and 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on the pace of hiking you have, then reach the Humantay lagoon located at 13,600 ft (4150 mt) with its beautiful turquoise, is located at the base of the snowy mountain of Humantay. Being one of the most beautiful places of Cusco and beginning of the trek to Salkantay, after a transfer of photos in this magnificent place you will return to the village of Mollepata to enjoy a delicious lunch. and then return to the city of Cusco by 07:00 PM.

5.00The Laguna is magical, no doubt. However, the journey is really difficult due to the high altitude. I don't usually practice recurring physical activities and I've had a lot of difficulty, but people who practice daily have also suffered a lot, some have not even been able to complete the journey, and I would definitely not be able to do it without the horses. The animals are well cared for appearance, gentle and the journey is accompanied by the responsible, but despite having the horses available on the climb, it is still a 30-minute walk to the point where the horses are. To descend is quiet, just pay attention to the trail and wear anti-slip shoes. I highly recommend the tour, it is unforgettable to see this view from close.
Everything was excellent and it is a very nice place, my wife got tired and couldn't make it but there was no issue everything was very good

5.00A challenging and impressive journey. Walking requires preparation and a lot of willpower, but arriving at Laguna fills us with such vitality that just looking at the splendor of this place, every effort is worth it. The guide Cristian was spectacular, followed us closely, guaranteed our safety and well-being, to the extent possible to 4200m altitude, and made us feel very willing to follow our choices. The tour is rustic and the passage is breathtaking, for mountain lovers like us, it is worth all the effort.

5.00A dream come true, visiting the Humantay Lagoon. Heidi gave me a detailed briefing the night before the tour and was very informative and helpful. The transport showed up on time for pickup from my hotel in cusco. It was a smooth drive to the trail head. They offerd a breakfast which was very delicious. The hike was somewhat challenging but totally worth it.
