If you want to visit Slovenia from Trieste, this is definitely the tour you should book! Ernest is a fantastic tour guide, kind, friendly, and eager to share interesting information about his country. Our first stop was at the beautiful Lake Bled, where we had some time to explore on our own and even time to sample some of the delicious local pastry! Our second and final stop was to the breathtaking city of Ljubljana. Ernest gave us a short overview of some points of interest, a recommendation for authentic and delicious local food, and then we were free to explore for several hours. The city center is easily walkable (it’s almost impossible to get lost!) and the buildings are charming. There is a funicular that goes up to the castle for a spectacular view. After a wonderful day, we were delivered back to a local hotel in Trieste. One of my favorite parts of this particular tour is that Ernest provided all the information that we needed and then gave us time to explore on our own. This is my favorite type of tour because it gives the freedom to choose to see what I’m interested in once I know what the options are. I can without hesitation fully recommend this tour (and Ernest as a great tour guide) to anyone interested in visiting the beautiful country of Slovenia!

What a wonderful travel experience we had with Dean. He was personable and informative about the places we visited. Made a long drive fun by sharing facts of his country and gave us ideas on restaurants and foods to try. I would definitely ask for him on our next visit. Also, both locations were stunning. Great choice !

Outstanding day exploring Lake Bled and Ljubljana and learning more about Slovenia and experiencing it firsthand. Enjoyable, informative and entertaining and we were in good hands with our driver/guide, Dean. Beautiful scenery on the way to Lake Bled and especially there. Experiencing Ljubljana during the Christmas Market was a real treat and look forward to a return visit to explore the city more fully. An outstanding and memorable introduction to a beautiful country.
