Lake Bled
Discover Slovenia's most spectacular sites – the famous Bled and Bohinj. Iconic lakes and the one and only island in Slovenia. Enjoy unique natural scenaries, learn about local crafts & traditions of one of Europe's most picturesque alpine regions.
You can sail to Bled Island every day of the year in a pletna, a hand-made wooden boat, which is driven by a pletnar, a boat rower, who oars standing up. An electric motorboat line or small boats are also available for transport across the lake. Your visit to the island has no time limits. You can return with the first free pletna boat or with an electric motorboat. You will learn the most about the island’s history, its sacral heritage and the rich pilgrimage content of this holy place during a guided visit. Of course, you can always choose to visit the island on your own. Take your time to make your visit to Bled Island a real holiday.
