The guides love what they do and it shows. They have a deep respect for lake, forest and wildlife. Our older group had mixed levels of fitness and the guides accommodated this effortlessly. Everyone had a memorable time.

Excellent trip! Really friendly and very knowledgeable guides. The group was only eight people so really easy to hear all the information and ask questions. Treated to lovely hot drinks and cookies at the summit of the island with stunning views. Best thing we’ve done since arriving in New Zealand.

This was a brilliant experience. We were in a group of 6 people. The guide, Michael, was terrific - Really knowledgeable and passionate about his subject. The route was easy by NZ standards and Michael tailored the pace to suit everyone’s needs. We had a great time and we really recommend this tour.

Had a wonderful morning hiking to the top. We were very lucky and had beautiful weather. Interesting listening to Craig on the nature trail. We saw the two weka birds that live on the island which was lovely. Would highly recommend this tour, the views you get at the top are awesome.

Very interesting and pretty spot, friendly and informative guide. Just be aware the trail is rocky, often uneven and steep.

This was a really great boat ride and nature walk. The guides were very solicitous of our comfort and informative. Take warm clothing it was very chilly if you sat outside on the boat. And walking poles are a good idea if you have them as the walk was steep and rough going in parts but if not you can borrow some which I was very grateful for. We had some slower people in our group but all were catered for and enjoyed the walk. Fabulous views as you’d expect. Dry landings at both ends and tea and coffee half way.
