This was a really great boat ride and nature walk. The guides were very solicitous of our comfort and informative. Take warm clothing it was very chilly if you sat outside on the boat. And walking poles are a good idea if you have them as the walk was steep and rough going in parts but if not you can borrow some which I was very grateful for. We had some slower people in our group but all were catered for and enjoyed the walk. Fabulous views as you’d expect. Dry landings at both ends and tea and coffee half way.

We did a morning excursion with Craig and had a great time. We left at 8 am and were the first ones on the island. It was a beautiful hike to the top but not too strenuous. Craig was very knowledgeable about the plant life and the birds we saw. There were 3 couples on our boat so a very nice small adventure. We would highly recommend it!

Great experience. Dave was quite knowledgeable. Right balance of adventure for my wife and I (30s) and her parents (60s/70s) along with learning about the island and conservation work being done there.

Wonderfully paced 1/2 day, full of incredible scenery, exersize and education. Our guide was full of valued information at every turn and was most impressive - his commentary and insights made this trip an excellent adventure. Without his keen observations, the trip would not have had much impact on us. Highly recommend to all, excepting those who are challenged by a long, sometimes steep continuous trail to the top. High tea & cookies were much appreciated at the top.

One of our favourite experiences in New Zealand. Full disclosure, I don’t normally like guided tours, I prefer to go at my own pace, but Michael (our guide) was so informative, entertaining and passionate that he really enhanced the trip. The views from the top are stunning and we saw a lot of wildlife.

Zipped across beautiful Lake Wanaka on a little boat to a beautiful tropical island where we hiked to an outcropping with a stunning view! They even served up some tea and coffee as we soaked in the scenery, it was really lovely. Craig was our primary guide and he was a plethora of interesting info about pretty much everything, including most of the flora and fauna around us. He even planted a little sapling up near the top; the company is interested in reforesting the island, which is a nice added bonus to a morning of fun.

An excellent trip with a very informative guide. I particularly enjoyed it as it was a small group. The boat ride on the lake was good followed by the climb to the top of the island and the stunning views. Loved planting the tree.

Although the weather wasn’t great we really enjoyed the trip. It was led by Craig who shared his extensive knowledge of the local ecosystem with our small group of 8. The walk up and around the island was not too onerous and revealed a wide range of native plant life. It was worth the short climb up to the lookout with views over the island’s lake and over to the west. I would definitely recommend this trip.

Tour consisted of a boat across a lake on a study, fast boat to an island where the goal is to preserve and repopulate the native plants and birds. A pleasant easy walk up to a beautiful viewing spot, where we planted a native tree species. Dave, our guide was friendly and knowledgeable, as was the entire staff. Would be good for all ages. We
