It was so fun. The hike through the England countryside was amazing. Jamie and his lovely pooch made the trip. Jamie was so informative and spoke of all the historical events. I was very impressed on how safety was number 1. He would caution us on up coming parts of the trail to be aware of and was very attentive to all of us. A true professional !! I would suggest this trip to everyone that goes to England.

My daughter and I planned our trip in the UK around this hike and I’m so glad we did! Jamie was a great hike guide! He was very knowledgeable and also paced the hike well to the abilities of everyone in the group. His dog Blisco was an added bonus! I highly recommend taking a hike with Jamie!!

Jamie was absolutely incredible.. from the minute we looked around and started asking questions pre trip, he was helpful and approachable and tailored everything to the experience and fitness of the group. This was everyone's first time to the Lakes, and Jamie provided a tour that gave us a bit of everything. Before we arrived he provided a list of things we should bring, where to meet, where to park etc. The day could not have been more perfect.. the weather, the route, the cows wandering up to us to come have a drink from the lake. Jamie walked us though the history of the area at every stage, the place names, the significance of people and place (I won't spoil it for you here), and the importance of the ecology. We had a fly-by by the USAF F-15's, which if I would not have known better I could swear Jamie also arranged this :) The walk was easy.. a couple of hills but nothing too taxing for anyone in our group. Jamie was extremely accommodating and attentive throughout. He kept a quiet eye on the group, and suggested stops and water breaks as needed, and provided great photo opportunities - and of course cake stops! At the end of the tour, Jamie recommended the Britannia pub for lunch, and we were not disappointed. He also gave us a recommendation for dinner to celebrate our anniversary, and this was also incredible. Above and beyond anything we could have dreamed of. The final thing I shall say about Jamie is this. Jamie is a sole person business. He does this because it is a passion of his, and this is what shines through. I cannot recommend Jamie highly enough, and if you are considering a trip to the lakes, look no further, and do so in the knowledge that you are supporting a truly lovely guy.

We booked a 5 hour walk with Jamie at the beginning of our stay in the Lake District to help get us oriented and more familiar with the area. Jamie did not disappoint. He is extremely knowledgeable about the flora and fauna, the animals and the history of the area. The views were spectacular! We had a fabulous time and don’t hesitate to recommend him to you

Jamie and his dog Blisco were great company on this circular Langdales route. It was a jam packed route exploring Little Landale and Great Langdale, so much to see on the route (waterfalls, lakes, caves, bridges, one of BP farms, woodland, farmland and so much more). The day started wet but this didn’t put us off or dampen the adventure and we ended plodging through the swollen/burst paths alongside Ellterwater which was “fun and freeing” in itself. Jamie was full of information on a wide variety of topics and I felt very comfortable in his company, which as a solo female traveller is an important element to highlight. I look forward to my next adventure in the Lakes and will definitely seek out Jamie to guide me safely through it

I recently joined a guided walk in the Lake District with Jamie, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! From start to finish, the day was well-organized, informative, and truly memorable. Jamie struck the perfect balance between sharing local knowledge—about the landscape, history, and wildlife—and giving us time to soak up the breathtaking views in peace. The route was thoughtfully chosen, offering a mix of gentle climbs, panoramic viewpoints, and hidden gems I never would have found on my own. The pace was comfortable for everyone in the group - including my 75 year old parents and two teenagers - with plenty of breaks to rest, take photos, and simply enjoy the surroundings. What stood out most was Jamie’s passion for the area—it was infectious and made the walk feel personal and special. By the end, I not only felt refreshed and inspired but also more connected to the beauty and heritage of the Lake District. I’d highly recommend this guided walk to anyone, whether you’re new to the area or have visited before. It’s a fantastic way to discover the Lakes in the company of a knowledgeable and friendly guide.

A wonderful hike with Jamie who was both informative, funny and most importantly was very considerate of the various levels of hiking experiences within our group as well as keeping us aware of the safety precautions while hiking and afterwards. I highly recommend this hiking tour with Jamie!

My wife and I were lucky enough to have Jamie and his delightful dog Blisco all to ourselves for our hiking tour. Jamie is a kind and interesting guide, and showed us some amazing, beautiful and diverse sights. We were sorry to see the hike end! Because of the recent rains, there were a couple of wet patches, but we were perfectly fine with our waterproof shoes/boots. I highly recommend Jamie for your Lake District hiking adventure!
