It was a great experience with a well-informed guide who explained the significance of many of the villas on the southern end of the lake. Takes about an hour

5.00I took the 5 PM sunset cruise of the Sirmione Peninsula with Garda Tours, and it was a lovely experience — especially for the price (around £11). The cruise runs every half hour throughout the day, and while it’s not a private or particularly quiet ride (usually on a full speedboat), it still felt relaxed and enjoyable. At this time of year (October), other sunset cruises offering Prosecco and aperitifs had stopped, so I appreciated being able to bring my own bottle on board. Catching golden hour on the water was the real highlight — the views of the Grotto of Catullus, Sirmione Castle, and Jamaica Beach were absolutely stunning. The cruise lasts about 25 minutes and the 5 PM slot was perfect, as it was the last departure before it started getting dark. A great way to see the area from a different perspective, and well worth it if you’re in Sirmione during shoulder season.

5.00Very well organized event. The boatmaster was very sympathetic and showed good mood. The explanations were given in Italian and English. After several boats were used, one could also offer a guided tour in German due to the high proportion of German-speaking tourists.

5.00Walking around Sirminone is very pleasant and it is a beautiful place. Taking the cruise after wandering around the place put a nice bow on our visit. Franco was fantastic and made the trip all the more enjoyable.

3.00Took this 25 minute boat ride, extremely disappointed, inexpensive but no mention of what we were seeing. Waste on 10€. Small boat sax player on boat, really boring since to thought we would be getting information on the area.
