We did this during a cruise stop in Akureyri and were happy with how the day went. Pickup was easy, the pacing was comfortable, and the stops felt well-planned. Goðafoss was impressive, and our guide shared helpful background without overloading us with information. The Lake Mývatn area was interesting and offered a nice variety of scenery. The tour didn’t feel rushed, and we had enough time at each stop to look around and take photos. The vehicle was clean and comfortable, and everything ran on schedule, which mattered since we had to be back at the ship. Overall, it was a good, well-organized way to see the highlights in a limited amount of time. We’re glad we did it.

Expertly run and good value for money as many different sites are visited. Highly recommend booking a ticket for the baths

Beautiful trip to see an amazing waterfall and areas where lava continues to heat the surface with the funk of sulfur

This was a great tour that covered beautiful scenery & points of interest! Our guide gave us even more of a tour that advertised! Could not have asked for a better tour in this port! Covered more than the ship offered in a small group & for far less than the ship charged! Our guide was knowledgable, engaging & entertaining! 😃 wonderful day!! =:)

The Godafoss is a must see when visiting here. The guide was amazing, the views are breathtaking, and this experience is well worth booking the excursion.

This place was so nice! They thought of everything. Your entrance includes a locker, use of the showers, high quality shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. They have water set out for you when you get out. They have wet bags for your swimsuit when you get out. Towels are not included, so bring your own. There are different levels of heat in the two pools and hot tub. The food for sale looks good quality and there was a good variety of it, including local ice cream. The main thing we liked about this place was that going in September it was not crowded at all, like Blue Lagoon- a great alternative to it.

A wonderful day touring out of Akureyri. Small group tour is the way to go. Our guide Johannes was exceptional. He timed stopping at all of the tour points to arrive ahead of the large bus tours to beat the crowds. If you have a short time in Akureyri this is the tour to take. Unfortunately our cruise schedule was a bit off with a 6:00 AM arrival and departure at 3:00 PM. The thermal baths at Lake Mývatn did not open until noon leaving not enough time to enjoy them. Not the fault of the tour operator. Many tour operators tried to arrange for an earlier opening but were refused because the schedule had been switched to winter hours. The itinerary was modified with some additional time and stops. Johannes is friendly, humorous and very knowledgeable. He has spent his life in Akureyri and is proud to show the area to visitors. Meeting point is at the cruise pier. On time to check in and on time to depart.

This is a great tour. Our driver (toti) was very informative and explained what we were doing and seeing. He answered any question asked. It was a fun day and the weather was nice as the day progressed. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to explore the highlights of this wonderful place.

We were up and out early where we met out driver and tour guide, Toti. Toti was fantastic, he was knowledgeable, friendly, and spoke English very well. He gave us a lot of background and historical information as we drove from the falls, the lake, the caves and the steam vent field.

The terrain was out of this world. Bobby was a great tour guide, full of information about how the geological land was formed. The lake, the black castle, geo-thermal fields and then the spectacular falls. Even got free coffee and donut!
