Our boats start from Cat Ba island, which is more beautiful and more interesting than Ha Long city. We avoid the crowd, take you to wonderful areas that less touristy, you can enjoy nice landscapes, real natural, clear water, secluded beaches.
Our boats anchor at pocket lagoons for staying overnight.
Our local guides are all experienced and enthusiastic, and will help you to discover the bay and take care of you during the trip.
-We do a lot of different trips than other tour companies. It is well worth the money with nicer itineraries (more time kayaking, swimming each day), and we cruise further to amazing landscapes in less touristy areas. You also have more time on the boat, not like a 24 hours tour by other companies.
Join us, you will start the trip at 11.00 of Day 1 and finish at 15.00 of Day 2. What should be better?

11.00 - 11.30: Take a minibus for 5 minutes from our office to the pier. Sometimes we take small junk for easy cruising and anchoring the harbor. The boat number 1: Lan Ha 25 Junk After lunch, we will move to the sleeping boat Cat Ba Ventures around 13:45 pm (we change boats in the bay). -The boat number 11: Cat Ba Ventures on our website. Cruise around Lan Ha Bay. Visit amazing landscapes and a floating fishing village. You will see the daily life of the fisherman on the bay. Swim at deserted beach. (Snorkeling is optional with equipment included) 12.30: Having lunch on the boat. Kayaking 1 and half - 2 hours through the rock arch to hidden lagoons and tunnels to discover Bat cave and Bright Cave. Keep cruising to Ha Long Bay to sightseeing the most beautiful landscapes at less touristy areas. Enjoy the sunset on the bay. 19.00: Dinner and overnight on the boat. Optional squid fishing at night.

- After breakfast, we keep cruising to discover another side of Ha Long Bay and Cong Tau lagoon. You can enjoy the beauty of hundreds of limestone islands in less touristy areas. Visit Dau Be Island, then relax on a deserted beach. Kayaking to discover Ho Ba Ham (3 hidden lagoons). - After lunch we will cruise to another part of Lan Ha Bay. - Return to Cat Ba Town at 15.00 - 15.30 (You can catch the last bus or speed boat at 16h to go back to mainland or stay another night in Cat Ba). Please note: The trip can be flexibly changed due to customer's demands, the weather and the tide as well. From May, 2026, our tour will finish at 12pm.

5.00Tony is the best and he made this trip absolutely wonderful. The boat was spectacular, the food was delicious, and the scenery was magical. I learned so much about Vietnam from Tony and he was so funny, kind, and smart. I hope that everyone gets to do this trip with him.

Here are a few things that made my experience so special: - Exclusive & Crowd-Free Locations: We visited breathtaking beaches and stunning caves, and the best part was that it was just our small group there! It felt like a truly privileged, private experience away from the usual tourist crowds. - An Amazing Guide (Shoutout to Ben!): A huge special mention goes to our guide, Ben. He was fantastic! He shared so much interesting knowledge about the bay’s unique features and the local residents. 5.00We had a great time on board. The balance between time spend relaxing and swimming/kayaking/caving is very well thought out. It was an unforgettable experience. Our tour guide Ben was great at coordinating and giving us background information regarding the lifestyle of the local people and the biosphere! He took a great video of us jumping off the ship into the sea as well.

5.00Me and my friend had a great time! I had my reservations about a smaller boat and less fancy looking website but the whole booking process was easy and professional. And the experience was top notch! I contacted them directly through email and paid a deposit for the trip and car transfer from Hanoi. I paid the balance when I arrived at their office. If coming from Hanoi, it's a 2 hour drive. Then a 10 minute cable car ride to the island. And then a 20 min drive to the office. All drivers were on time! Once at the office, you check in and then take a short ride to the port. You're ferried onto your home for the next 24 hours. The rooms were spacious and clean. Air-conditioning worked well! All of our meals were spectacular! Better than restaurants we had eaten at. And a lot of variety. There's alcohol and coffee you can purchase. Swimming and kayaking in the bay was great. No snorkeling though as the water is too green. But you can see some small fish and squid when you do the night squid fishing. I loved that we were in secluded areas and were the only people there most times. We got to explore little beaches, relax, and we were blessed with a good group of friendly people. Our tour guide, Tony, was hilarious. He entertained us with fun facts, stories about Vietnam, history lessons, and magic tricks! He took pictures of us with his camera and drone and sent them to us afterwards. The crew were all very helpful in providing us the best care. It rained some during our time but it didn't ruin anything. And for those of you that get sea sick, I felt a little bit at the beginning but after that it was smooth sailing. At times, I even forgot we were on a boat when we were anchored because it was so steady. For me one night was enough and I definitely recommend booking with Cat Ba Ventures!

4.00Ben was a fantastic guide. Even when I was not feeling well, he happily helped me back to the boat early from our kayaking trip. Five stars for him! The food was well prepared, but a bit underseasoned. The beds were comfy, though the boat was maybe a touch outdated. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.

5.00We did a wonderful cruise, not too many tourists, good alternation between rest and activities, rooms were fine but icing on the cake was our guide Tony. He provided good clear explanations, helped where he could and entertained us with stories and facts. Tony, you're the best!
