Our boats start from Cat Ba island, which is more beautiful and more interesting than Ha Long city. We avoid the crowd, take you to wonderful areas that less touristy, you can enjoy nice landscapes, real natural, clear water, secluded beaches.
Our boats anchor at pocket lagoons for staying overnight.
Our local guides are all experienced and enthusiastic, and will help you to discover the bay and take care of you during the trip.
-We do a lot of different trips than other tour companies. It is well worth the money with nicer itineraries (more time kayaking, swimming each day), and we cruise further to amazing landscapes in less touristy areas. You also have more time on the boat, not like a 24 hours tour by other companies.
Join us, you will start the trip at 11.00 of Day 1 and finish at 15.00 of Day 2. What should be better?

11.00 - 11.30: Take a minibus for 5 minutes from our office to the pier. Sometimes we take small junk for easy cruising and anchoring the harbor. The boat number 1: Lan Ha 25 Junk After lunch, we will move to the sleeping boat Cat Ba Ventures around 13:45 pm (we change boats in the bay). -The boat number 11: Cat Ba Ventures on our website. Cruise around Lan Ha Bay. Visit amazing landscapes and a floating fishing village. You will see the daily life of the fisherman on the bay. Swim at deserted beach. (Snorkeling is optional with equipment included) 12.30: Having lunch on the boat. Kayaking 1 and half - 2 hours through the rock arch to hidden lagoons and tunnels to discover Bat cave and Bright Cave. Keep cruising to Ha Long Bay to sightseeing the most beautiful landscapes at less touristy areas. Enjoy the sunset on the bay. 19.00: Dinner and overnight on the boat. Optional squid fishing at night.

- After breakfast, we keep cruising to discover another side of Ha Long Bay and Cong Tau lagoon. You can enjoy the beauty of hundreds of limestone islands in less touristy areas. Visit Dau Be Island, then relax on a deserted beach. Kayaking to discover Ho Ba Ham (3 hidden lagoons). - After lunch we will cruise to another part of Lan Ha Bay. - Return to Cat Ba Town at 15.00 - 15.30 (You can catch the last bus or speed boat at 16h to go back to mainland or stay another night in Cat Ba). Please note: The trip can be flexibly changed due to customer's demands, the weather and the tide as well. From May, 2026, our tour will finish at 12pm.

5.00I really enjoyed the trip with Cat Ba Ventures. Our tour guide, Hang, was super well versed around the bay and was able to spot many monkeys and gave us historical tide bits! Hang even showed us his magic tricks! He did really well keeping us informed of the agenda and on schedule. This is a great boat for people looking for a chill adventure.

5.00I can really recommend this 2D/1N cruise with cat ba adventures! I was afraid ha long bay/ lan ha would be full of other tourists and other boats but with this cruise, as advertised, you were almost alone on the water!! I am really happy I did a 2D cruise as well, it’s so nice to wake up on the water. The tour was really nicely and clearly organized. Tony is an amazing, clear and knowledgeable guide and community leader. It was always clear what we were doing (kajakking/ swimming/ squid fishing/ lunch etc), how late, where and what we should bring. He also really brought us together as a group. And, which was a surprise to me, I learned so much about Vietnamese culture, politics, economics, about the sea and everything. The boat was beautiful. I can really recommend!

5.00This is hands down the best cruise you can book to see both bays! Cat Ba Ventures takes you to remote areas where we were literally the only boat within sight. The food is decent, not luxury but always more than enough. Our tour guide Tony was very fun and educated us on the bays as well as Vietnamese culture in general. Highly recommend if you want to see the most beautiful untouched parts of Lan Ha Bay and Ha Long Bay!

5.00Amazing experience!! Our guide Tony took great care of us and he was great all around :) all the boat staff were great too! We did squid fishing at night and they even offered for us to fish in the morning. We also managed to see the critically endangered Cat Ba Langur. Food was also very good. They take great care in choosing spots with less boats. Highly recommended!!

5.00The whole experience was just amazing and well organized. Jack, our guide on the boat, was very helpful and took very good care. He took us to beautiful location away from the crowds. The boat, room and facilities were clean and comfy. Did kayaking in open seas for the first time -- just too good. Kids enjoyed the squid fishing at night. The drone shots sent by Jack later were a pleasant surprise. Overall, could not expect more!

5.00We had a fantastic experience on the overnight Cat Ba Ventures cruise, sailing through the stunning and peaceful Lan Ha Bay. The route was beautiful, less crowded, and the kayaking was a real highlight — calm waters, dramatic limestone cliffs, and a very relaxed pace that suited families as well. Our guide Ben truly made the trip special. He was sweet, funny, and very considerate, and brought such a warm energy to the group. In the evening, he played the guitar and sang wonderfully, creating a lovely atmosphere onboard. He also shared many stories about Vietnamese culture, people, and his own journey, which added a personal touch to the experience. Travelling with kids, we especially appreciated Ben’s patience — he answered all of our daughter’s questions thoughtfully and with genuine care. Overall, a memorable experience with a great route, well-organised cruise, and an excellent guide. Highly recommended.

5.00Our 2-day tour of Lan Ha and Ha Long Bay was really perfect! We were almost alone everywhere away from the crowds of tourists and only met other canoeists on the last canoe trip. Even where we stood overnight, only one ship could be seen in the distance and otherwise there was absolute silence. Overall we were 10 people on the boat, our room was totally luxurious and the bed incredibly comfortable! I would like to highlight our guide Hang who did everything to make our best time possible! 🫶🏻 He was totally enthusiastic and above all super humorous, you just love being in your presence and I couldn’t have asked for a better guide! I would always prefer this tour to another tour with hundreds of tours, water slides and party boats!:)
