Our boats start from Cat Ba island, which is more beautiful and more interesting than Ha Long city. We avoid the crowd, take you to wonderful areas that less touristy, you can enjoy nice landscapes, real natural, clear water, secluded beaches.
Our boats anchor at pocket lagoons for staying overnight.
Our local guides are all experienced and enthusiastic, and will help you to discover the bay and take care of you during the trip.
-We do a lot of different trips than other tour companies. It is well worth the money with nicer itineraries (more time kayaking, swimming each day), and we cruise further to amazing landscapes in less touristy areas. You also have more time on the boat, not like a 24 hours tour by other companies.
Join us, you will start the trip at 11.00 of Day 1 and finish at 15.00 of Day 2. What should be better?

11.00 - 11.30: Take a minibus for 5 minutes from our office to the pier. Sometimes we take small junk for easy cruising and anchoring the harbor. The boat number 1: Lan Ha 25 Junk After lunch, we will move to the sleeping boat Cat Ba Ventures around 13:45 pm (we change boats in the bay). -The boat number 11: Cat Ba Ventures on our website. Cruise around Lan Ha Bay. Visit amazing landscapes and a floating fishing village. You will see the daily life of the fisherman on the bay. Swim at deserted beach. (Snorkeling is optional with equipment included) 12.30: Having lunch on the boat. Kayaking 1 and half - 2 hours through the rock arch to hidden lagoons and tunnels to discover Bat cave and Bright Cave. Keep cruising to Ha Long Bay to sightseeing the most beautiful landscapes at less touristy areas. Enjoy the sunset on the bay. 19.00: Dinner and overnight on the boat. Optional squid fishing at night.

- After breakfast, we keep cruising to discover another side of Ha Long Bay and Cong Tau lagoon. You can enjoy the beauty of hundreds of limestone islands in less touristy areas. Visit Dau Be Island, then relax on a deserted beach. Kayaking to discover Ho Ba Ham (3 hidden lagoons). - After lunch we will cruise to another part of Lan Ha Bay. - Return to Cat Ba Town at 15.00 - 15.30 (You can catch the last bus or speed boat at 16h to go back to mainland or stay another night in Cat Ba). Please note: The trip can be flexibly changed due to customer's demands, the weather and the tide as well. From May, 2026, our tour will finish at 12pm.

5.00The tour matched my expectations. The tourguide Ben showed us a lot of nice places and was very talkative. He told us a lot of stories related to visited places and Vietnam itself. I would recommend this tour. The atmosphere was very good, not too many people in the group.

5.00We specifically booked with Cat Ba Ventures because they advertised a small group and an itinerary off the beaten path. That paid off - we were just 14 guests on the boat and our tour guide Jack did extremely well avoiding the crowds at what was probably the busiest week in 2026, between the Hung King, the reunification and the labour day holidays. He managed to time our Kayak Tour so that we were the only group in the two lagoons, only connected to the sea by tunnels under the rock! For the overnight stay, he chose a mooring spot far away from the big cruise ships with their all-night karaoke program, so we were able to spend a quiet and peaceful night. Ask for Jack if you book a tour with Cat Ba Ventures!

5.00We had a great time on the boat. Our tour guide Jack was excellent. He showed us lonely lagoons by Kajak, planning the time so it was just our group there. No one else! We swam at lonely beaches and enjoyed the landscape. He also gave us some insight on Vietnam's History - all in all a very interesting and enjoyable trip.

5.00Loved the three day cruise (across two different boats - don't worry, they take care of the transfer via speedboat which was pretty cool!). The Navy Point hike was pretty challenging so you need to be fit, strong and flexible. CatBa Ventures are super organised, great communicators, and trustworthy. All the guides from our trip starting in Hanoi though to the island were friendly, informative, committed to great customer service and fun. Awesome value for money. Special shout outs to Ben, Viet and Hang!

5.00Thanks! It was an awesome trip. Cat Ba Ventures and our guide Ben organised it perfectly. Everything was as described ( or even better)! The trip did not feel rushed, and was focused on exploring the beautiful nature of the bay. Ben even brought a cake as it was our honeymoon!

5.00We took a 2-day cruise in Ha Long Bay with Cat Ba Ventures and our guide Ben really made this experience unforgettable! Our guide Ben was very friendly, enthusiastic and passionate. He taught us a lot about the region and made every activity interesting and accessible to everyone. Thanks to his explanations, we even learned to fish squid together in the evening an original and very friendly activity. The program was perfectly organized: visit beautiful caves, kayak ride in incredible landscapes, we had the chance to see monkeys and bats... every moment was well thought out and pleasant. The group was composed of 16 people, which was ideal to keep a friendly atmosphere and allow for a good exchange between participants. The meals were also excellent and suitable for everyone: seafood lovers or not, vegetarians, allergies... everything was carefully planned. We highly recommend this excursion! ☀️🛳️
