Our boats start from Cat Ba island, which is more beautiful and more interesting than Ha Long city. We avoid the crowd, take you to wonderful areas that less touristy, you can enjoy nice landscapes, real natural, clear water, secluded beaches.
Our boats anchor at pocket lagoons for staying overnight.
Our local guides are all experienced and enthusiastic, and will help you to discover the bay and take care of you during the trip.
-We do a lot of different trips than other tour companies. It is well worth the money with nicer itineraries (more time kayaking, swimming each day), and we cruise further to amazing landscapes in less touristy areas. You also have more time on the boat, not like a 24 hours tour by other companies.
Join us, you will start the trip at 11.00 of Day 1 and finish at 15.00 of Day 2. What should be better?

11.00 - 11.30: Take a minibus for 5 minutes from our office to the pier. Sometimes we take small junk for easy cruising and anchoring the harbor. The boat number 1: Lan Ha 25 Junk After lunch, we will move to the sleeping boat Cat Ba Ventures around 13:45 pm (we change boats in the bay). -The boat number 11: Cat Ba Ventures on our website. Cruise around Lan Ha Bay. Visit amazing landscapes and a floating fishing village. You will see the daily life of the fisherman on the bay. Swim at deserted beach. (Snorkeling is optional with equipment included) 12.30: Having lunch on the boat. Kayaking 1 and half - 2 hours through the rock arch to hidden lagoons and tunnels to discover Bat cave and Bright Cave. Keep cruising to Ha Long Bay to sightseeing the most beautiful landscapes at less touristy areas. Enjoy the sunset on the bay. 19.00: Dinner and overnight on the boat. Optional squid fishing at night.

- After breakfast, we keep cruising to discover another side of Ha Long Bay and Cong Tau lagoon. You can enjoy the beauty of hundreds of limestone islands in less touristy areas. Visit Dau Be Island, then relax on a deserted beach. Kayaking to discover Ho Ba Ham (3 hidden lagoons). - After lunch we will cruise to another part of Lan Ha Bay. - Return to Cat Ba Town at 15.00 - 15.30 (You can catch the last bus or speed boat at 16h to go back to mainland or stay another night in Cat Ba). Please note: The trip can be flexibly changed due to customer's demands, the weather and the tide as well. From May, 2026, our tour will finish at 12pm.

5.00Cat Ba ventures went above and beyond taking great care of us. The sights lived up to the pictures, especially because they took us early to avoid the crowds. We got the chance to kayak a secluded lagoon and listen to the wildlife in stillness. We got really lucky and even saw two of the severely endangered langur monkeys. We were also able to swim on what was basically our own private beach. Really a one of kind experience! We were very happy with the accomodations on the boat itself. Cool AC, hot showers, and delicious family-style meals. To top it all off, we had the best possible tour guide, Hang! He was full of indepth knowledge and jokes. We learned a ton about the history, wildlife, and geology of the area. We were even treated to a mindblowing magic show after dinner!

5.00Amazing boat cruise to less crowded areas in Halong Bay. Our guide Tony was welcoming, funny and informed us every step of the itinerary. I’m vegan and they provided extra food for me at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Clean rooms on the boat, both kayaking and swimming activities were a lot of fun. Everything was well organized and they made sure people catch their connecting buses etc.
If I could give it six stars I would!

5.00Great experience. Our guide Hàng knew English very well. He also knew a ton about the area! We kayaked, and saw monkeys. The local fishing village. The lunch served was very good also! It was like a Vietnamese Thanksgiving. LOTS OF FOOD!

5.00We had an amazing time on the 2D/1N cruise. Tony was absolutely the best guide! He was so knowledgeable about the area, and took us to less crowded areas and hidden lagoons. We had so much fun listening to him tell stories too. The whole trip was so peaceful as the bays were not crowded with other boats, yet we were able to enjoy the same beautiful scenery. Thank you also to the whole crew on the boat who were all so professional! Would love to come back in the future :)

5.00This is my second time with Cat Ba Ventures, and it was even better than 7 years ago. Great tour and experience if you want to see Ha Long Bay (and less touristy compared to a departure from Ha Long/Hai Phong as I understand it). The food and rooms are amazing as well. Special shout out to anh Hăng (Hang), our tour guide! He was an amazing guide, and kept us entertained with stories, music and magic tricks along the way!

5.00Had the absolute best time on the tour with Tony as our tour guide! He is such a funny and interesting guy and gave some great information on the history of Vietnam, the food was amazing and varied and the rooms clean and spacious. Can’t recommend this tour enough. When they say less touristy areas they’re not lying! Thanks again Tony you made this a great experience!
