Our boats start from Cat Ba island, which is more beautiful and more interesting than Ha Long city. We avoid the crowd, take you to wonderful areas that less touristy, you can enjoy nice landscapes, real natural, clear water, secluded beaches.
Our boats anchor at pocket lagoons for staying overnight.
Our local guides are all experienced and enthusiastic, and will help you to discover the bay and take care of you during the trip.
-We do a lot of different trips than other tour companies. It is well worth the money with nicer itineraries (more time kayaking, swimming each day), and we cruise further to amazing landscapes in less touristy areas. You also have more time on the boat, not like a 24 hours tour by other companies.
Join us, you will start the trip at 11.00 of Day 1 and finish at 15.00 of Day 2. What should be better?

11.00 - 11.30: Take a minibus for 5 minutes from our office to the pier. Sometimes we take small junk for easy cruising and anchoring the harbor. The boat number 1: Lan Ha 25 Junk After lunch, we will move to the sleeping boat Cat Ba Ventures around 13:45 pm (we change boats in the bay). -The boat number 11: Cat Ba Ventures on our website. Cruise around Lan Ha Bay. Visit amazing landscapes and a floating fishing village. You will see the daily life of the fisherman on the bay. Swim at deserted beach. (Snorkeling is optional with equipment included) 12.30: Having lunch on the boat. Kayaking 1 and half - 2 hours through the rock arch to hidden lagoons and tunnels to discover Bat cave and Bright Cave. Keep cruising to Ha Long Bay to sightseeing the most beautiful landscapes at less touristy areas. Enjoy the sunset on the bay. 19.00: Dinner and overnight on the boat. Optional squid fishing at night.

- After breakfast, we keep cruising to discover another side of Ha Long Bay and Cong Tau lagoon. You can enjoy the beauty of hundreds of limestone islands in less touristy areas. Visit Dau Be Island, then relax on a deserted beach. Kayaking to discover Ho Ba Ham (3 hidden lagoons). - After lunch we will cruise to another part of Lan Ha Bay. - Return to Cat Ba Town at 15.00 - 15.30 (You can catch the last bus or speed boat at 16h to go back to mainland or stay another night in Cat Ba). Please note: The trip can be flexibly changed due to customer's demands, the weather and the tide as well. From May, 2026, our tour will finish at 12pm.

A Wonderful and Non-Touristy Cat Ba Experience

5.00My friend and I joined the 2-day, 1-night Cat Ba tour with an overnight stay on the boat and we had an amazing experience from beginning to end. Everything was very well organized. We booked the tour directly via WhatsApp and received a quick response. We contacted them just one day before and we were able to start the tour the very next day, which was super convenient. What we especially loved was that the tour was not overly touristy. There were only around ten people on the boat, so it felt very relaxed and personal. The whole atmosphere was calm, pleasant, and chilled. The organization was excellent from start to finish, including the transfers from Hanoi to Cat Ba and back from Cat Ba to Hanoi. Everything worked smoothly and stress-free. The boat tour itself was fantastic. We had the chance to swim, go kayaking, and simply enjoy the beautiful surroundings. In some places we were even completely alone, which made the experience feel even more special. A special thanks goes to our guide, Ben. He was incredibly friendly, funny and easy to talk to. He explained a lot about the area, guided us very well and made us feel comfortable throughout the whole trip. The crew on board also did an amazing job. They even made sure we had vegan food, and the vegan meals were honestly delicious. The dishes were very creative, varied, and prepared with a lot of care. The price for the tour, including swimming kayaking activities, meals and sleeping on the boat is absolutely justified. We would definitely recommend Cat Ba Adventures to anyone looking for a more authentic and less touristy experience.

5.00We had a great time visiting the bay. The crew and our guide Hang were very welcoming and we had a small group of about 14 people who were all very friendly and open. The rooms were clean and the matress might have been my favourite one in Vietnam so far. We really were secluded from the more touristy boats and went canoeing in a part of the bay where the only thing you could hear was birds and an occasional monkey.

5.00It’s my first time in Vietnam as a Vietnamese American and my experience with Cat Ba Ventures was amazing. The administrative staff was extremely communicative in both English and Vietnamese over WhatsApp. I would say they went above and beyond what was expected. The staff advised me on the correct ferry to take to get to the island. The Wi-Fi was fast and the host were extremely accommodating. Ninh was my tour guide and he was equally amazing. He was very knowledgeable about the archipelago and explained everything from history to the science of the development of the islands. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who’s interested in seeing the archipelagos of Vietnam. There were only a handful of other boats we saw on the tour and I would say it wasn’t very crowded as of May 2026. My experience on the boat was great. My room is very big with its own shower, big windows. All of the activities were extremely fun. You guys jump off the boat if that’s your kind of thing. The boat and my room were very clean. Staff on the boat we’re very accommodating as well.

Tony was a very good guide, with lots of enthusiastic stories and super nice! There was plenty of vegetarian food so that was also very nice. And tony filled you in well and on time about everything we were going to do

5.00It was really beautiful, we did a lot of activities in places where no one else was so it felt like we were the only ones in the bay. Tony, our Tourguide did such a good job, he explained everything very well and gave us a lot of information about the Vietnamese history which was really interesting. Also the room was really nice. The rest of the crew that helped us with the kayaks and made our drinks and food were also really good and friendly.

5.00Great way to experience Lan Ha and Ha Long bays up close. Guide was fantastic and very experienced. The boat and crew were excellent and the food too! I loved being able to go out on the kayaks to see the karst topography up close. The overnight experience us well worth it - actually a must do!

5.00Had a great experience on my tour of Ha Long Bay. The course of the tour we got to experience a cave as well as two sessions of kayaking. The sessions of kayaking were definitely the highlight as we got to experience a less touristy area with a lot of natural beauty. Our tour guide Tony was phenomenal, he was very experienced and also telling funny stories. The food on the boat was very delicious and a lot of variety filling me up, the rooms in the boat were very spacious and luxurious. Definitely recommend this Tour to anyone of going. Regards, Finn
