Leeds Castle
Located in Kent, ‘The Garden of England’, lies Leeds Castle, a beautiful medieval castle frequently referred to as ‘the loveliest castle in the world’. With 500 acres of landscaped parkland to explore and impeccably maintained gardens to enjoy, it’s easy to see why this beautiful castle was a favoured castle of King Henry VIII, who gifted it to his first wife, Catherine of Aragon. In its 900-year history, the castle has been home to no fewer than six queens and served many functions, including acting as a garrison, prison and the stately private home of its most recent owners. Learn all about this and more as our expert tour guide brings its fascinating story to life.
Canterbury Cathedral
A designated UNESCO World Heritage Site, Canterbury Cathedral is both a serene place of holiness and beautiful tourist destination. As the Cathedral of the Archbishop, the spiritual leader of the Church of England, Canterbury holds a special place in British history. No ordinary Cathedral, Canterbury has a long history that is often described as ‘England in Stone’; from the role of its Archbishops in the Magna Carta to the murder of Thomas Becket after a power struggle with the King of England, Canterbury’s history is intertwined with that of England. Founded by St Augustine in 600 AD, the Cathedral today is one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture in England, and the first building in the country to be redesigned in this popular style in 1774.

Had a stellar time with Cameron as our guide and Amarjit as our driver on this tour. Cameron was so funny and shared just the right amount of information! Amarjit navigated the narrow roads and dealt with the rain and wind, I always felt safe. Leeds was fun with the character actors on grounds. Canterbury was beautiful despite the downpours, hahaha. And Dover beach stole my heart. (I love stones!) Definitely recommend tours with Evan Evans!

Sheila was a great guide! Very interesting to see the Leeds castle. Canterbury was quite quaint and the cliffs were Soso.

While poor Cameron demonstrated his thespian expertise and proclaimed our tour group one of his favorites, three women who'd wandered off from the cauldron of Macbeth did their best to upstage his performance, and their constant chatter had him at his wits’ end. On top of that, our collective inability to hoot and holler when prompted elicited a review of 1 out of 10 from the same host pretending to sing our praises. Nonetheless, he was a genial and entertaining guide, and Marlon an excellent driver. Unfortunately the stops on the tour itself were less than rave-worthy. The walk through Leeds Castle, while pretty, is more about the 20th-century socialite who kept it from falling down than its long history before that, and at Canterbury we had time for the cathedral and a quick bite to eat but not much else. The less said about the 25 minutes in Dover the better. The photo provided in the advertising shows an orchestra view of the white cliffs, but we witnessed a shimmer in the far distance for about 15 seconds — and a gray smudge of castle perched beyond a ten-story hotel — then a curtain of fog closed across the scene, and we headed back on the busy road to London, where the newly erected high rises offered more spectacle.

I loved the tour. Andrew Jackson was very knowledgeable and easy to listen to. Our group had a great time and had an overall great time. If I could give it more than 5 stars then I would.

Phil our tour guide and Billy our driver, were exceptional, especially Phil, who was extremely knowledgeable and shared so much detail, not only about the places we visited, but also about places we passed on the way. He also made suggestions about places to eat, etc. He walked through the coach to speak with everyone to make sure everyone was understanding what was happening and to answer any questions. Top notch your and top notch guide.

Cameron and Marlon were the absolute best duo. Cameron was as handsome as he was funny and intelligent as he was warm. Saved by the Bell (Cameron).

The trip was overall wonderful! Just keep in mind that the last stop at the Dover Cliffs is only a walk along the beach with a view of them. I was fine with that, but there’s no castle visit or anything particularly spectacular to expect at the final destination. Leeds Castle and Canterbury Cathedral were absolutely amazing!
