Our Level 1 climb involves approximately 45mins of physical climbing and 4 bridge crossings. Our Via ferrata tour is perfect for those who love the outdoors, waterfalls and beautiful places. It is suitable for beginners, families and hesitant adventurers with basic fitness.
No experience required.
Your tour starts at the waterfall where your friendly guide will fit your safety gear and teach you how to use the equipment before starting the climb. You will be climbing on steel ladder rungs and crossing wire bridges to finish at a beautiful picnic spot. We then walk down a mountain trail and back to the base.
If you are more adventurous and are looking to explore more in this incredible vertical world, we recommend our intermediate Level 2 climb.

Minimum age on this tour is 12 years. If you are under 16, you must climb our via ferrata with an adult guardian. For children under 12 a private tour may be an option. Please request upon booking.
All minors (16 years and under) require an adult guardian’s signature on their waiver. There are no upper age limits to this activity.
Please advise if over 220 pounds (100kg) or under 88 pounds (40kg)
Must be able to climb a ladder and use both arms

What To Expect
Join us on the highest waterfall cable climb in the world. We are right there by your side as you challenge yourself and your comfort zone. Our Level 1 climb is our introductory climb. If you can climb a ladder you can do it. Our tours take place on a private working deer farm, nestled in the mountains, 20 minutes drive from Wanaka. The air is clean and the views just keep getting better and better the higher we go. It is an adventure of a lifetime. We proudly stand by our clean record – with guides, training, gear and policies that keep it that way.

5.00This tour looked exciting online but I found it confronting once through the wooden door off the cliff edge. If it wasn't for the amazing guide Ben, I wouldn't have completed the tour. He talked me through each stage and made me feel safe and encouraged me the whole way. So glad I did it and I would definitely do it again 😊. The walk back down was just as spectacular as the climb!!!!

5.00Loved this experience, was truly a lot of fun! If you enjoy thrills, this is one to do. The guides teach you everything you need to know and you then do a small practice run before setting out. The views are incredible and the climb was something new for me. We're planning to return for level 2!

5.00Unforgettable experience! It was a workout for sure, but what a climb up an amazing waterfall. Guides were professional and clear, answered all questions and helped out when I got a bit stuck, encouraged me and made it fun. Well worth the money--you can't beat an experience like this!

5.00This was one of our highlights while visiting New Zealand. The whole experience from start to finish was top notch. The staff is well trained, attentive, kind and good humoured. The safety training provided gave us comfort that safety was taken very seriously, and we were in good hands. Add to that the absolutely stunning views and this was an 11/10 experience. Can’t recommend it enough! If you’re reasonably fit, you’ll love it!!

5.00Team was very professional, knowledgeable and fun. Level one was perfect for our family of 6 including a 10-year old and a 13-year old. Although it was scary and challenging we felt safe the entire time. For 4 of us it was a new experience and was the highlight of our trip to Queenstown. Although it was a drive from Queenstown it was worth it. Stop at Kawarau Bungy on the way, if not to jump at least to watch! What a thrill!
