History and culture lesson while cycling around Singapore

Wilson shared the history and culture of Singapore with 9 of us while leading the way around town. His humor made the “lesson” fun and was insightful. Most of the paths were nice, though there were busy parts of town which was a challenge for the less experienced cyclists. Overall, we enjoyed the tour.

Holden, a native of Singapore, shuttled us on bikes easily around the main attractions. He was more than willing to take photos and share his knowledge if the city. He is a genuinely nice guy, a pleasure to spend 4+ hours with.

Bike tour started at 9.00 am. Good to start in slightly cooler conditions. It soon gets hot. James was our tour guide. Excellent. Safe , very knowledgeable and fun. Plenty of stops for drinks , loo stops , and information. 13 miles in approximately 4 hours. But very steady. Highly recommend tour and James our guide.

This bike tour is a great way to see Singapore. If possible, do the tour early in your stay because we got so many tips on the best ways to experience the city and where to taste local cuisine.

I couldn't go on the tour because my balance issues led to a crash and burn. I wasn't hurt but it wounded my pride to have witnesses. At least they helped prevent what would have ruined the tour for the group. They helped salvage to situation for me by having one of the guides walk me a little distance to a coffee shop to figure out what to do next. They couldn't have been any kinder in this matter!

This was a really awesome way to explore the city. We covered some good ground about 10 miles by bike. We explored various neighborhoods. Our tour guide Fred was truly awesome. He took the time to get to know us, he kept us saved on the roads. He took time to give us excellent insight into the culture and history of Singapore.

Four of us did the Lion City Bike Tour with James today. He was an excellent guide. Very enthusiastic about all his subjects. The tour lasted 4 hours & was packed full of interesting facts. Great orientation of the city with some hot tips on the best places to eat & drink too!
