Lisbon is best discovered on foot - on this city tour accompanied by a German-speaking city guide with exciting insights into Portuguese history, culture and current topics.
Starting at Rossio Square, the small group (max. 12 participants) explores the districts of Baixa, Chiado, Bairro Alto and Alfama.
On the way from the lower town to the poets' quarter of Chiado, the group admires the Santa Justa elevator first from below, then from the viewing platform with a view of the lower town and Lisbon Castle. Then it goes from the Carmo monastery ruins through the Chiado district.
After a climb through the residential district of Bairro Alto, which is quiet during the day (nightlife awakens here in the evening), the group reaches the viewing point where they linger for a break.
After a taste, it goes to Alfama, the oldest district, with its viewing points and winding alleys.
The end is at the Praça do Comércio, directly on the Tejo River and the impressive triumphal arch.

Very friendly guide, who showed us very entertainingly with numerous historical backgrounds the most important sights of the city center and explained so that also left no questions unanswered. Very interesting are the historical shops (Lojas com historia).

City tours can be very boring - but not this one! Pedro did a great job and also impressed our two sons in their early 20s. It couldn’t be better! Highly recommended!

The 3.5 hour guided tour was simply fantastic and far exceeded my expectations! Our guide Sarah has brought the history of Lisbon to life with incredible knowledge, passion and humour. You immediately felt that she not only knew the historical facts, but also had a real sense of the people and life in this fascinating city today. Not only did we see the main sights, but we also discovered many hidden corners that probably would never have been found on their own. I found it particularly exciting how cleverly the tour combined past and present – from the time of the seafarers to modern Lisbon with its creative, open atmosphere. The 3.5 hours flew by, and despite the length, it was never boring. There were plenty of breaks, great photo spots and little anecdotes about the everyday life of Lisbon residents, which made the city even more tangible. I can absolutely recommend this tour – for those who not only want to see Lisbon, but really want to understand and feel it. A real highlight of my stay!

We can only say our guide, Pedro, was just great. He brought us closer to Lisbon, whether it was about sightseeing history, culture or the normal everyday problems of Lisboners? We say thank you.

Many thanks to Sara, who had given us a great first impression of Lisbon and life here in the 3.5 hours. The tour took us to many sights in the old town area, to beautiful viewpoints, through winding streets and was peppered with reports of historical events as well as the everyday lives of the inhabitants that we would not have gotten without this tour. We were also convinced by their tips on further activities, on refreshments and the little “Versucherle”. We can recommend the tour to anyone who likes to explore a city on foot in a small group.

I recommend the German-speaking tour gladly. The 3 hours (with break) passed like in flight, and even the teenager thought it was great. Pedro answers every question and tells a varied and easily understandable story. Last but not least, the value for money fits when I compare with other European metropolises.
