Our Guide, despite his school French, was at the level to show us around the city, neighborhoods with stops necessary to make photos. And we ended up with the delicious cake! Thank you Nuno Gomes for this morning.

Today we spent a half day tour with Andre in Lisboa doing a city tour. First let me say Andre is the best guide we have had while in Portugal! We all learned so much about Portugal history and cultures. We are traveling with my daughter, son in law and 9 month and 2 year old granddaughters. Andre was prepared with patience and car seats :-) Many beautiful sites were visited and finished with a lunch at the legendary Pastel de Belem. The BEST by far! Thank you Andre for all the great recommendations for the rest of our trip.

We had the absolute best time during our morning tour of Lisbon. Our tour guide - Nuno Gomes - was extremely knowledgeable and he made the experience super fun. This was our first time in Lisbon and the tour stands as a highlight. We felt like we learned a lot and discovered hidden gems. We did not want the tour to end - so much so that we booked a second tour to a different location with this same company and requested the same guide. I would recommend this to anyone!! It is the best way to see the city, enjoy the sites and learn from an expert!

Avoid the lines and the crowds! We thoroughly enjoyed the half day tour on Sat Sept 20. Pedro picked us up from our apartment in a clean Mercedes red van spacious enough for us four. The tour was intimate and meaningful. We were able to learn so much about the city from Pedro's deep knowledge of it's history. He communicated something at each location that was rich and bewildering. You could rent a car and see sites on your own however you would never know the intricate details and the amazing history of Lisboa. Pedro is super friendly and extremely accommodating. We stopped at viewpoints with more in depth knowledge than not having a proper guide. He made himself as a resource for questions after the tour, restaurants, areas to visit, attractions. In fact, we were seeking peri peri chicken, a restaurant where locals go to, Pedro's recommendation was bar none one of the best places we ate at later in the evening. The tour also includes bypassing the long lines at Pasteis de Belem, seeing the Pasteis being made in the kitchen and enjoying one hot and fresh. Lisboa is a beautiful city...its worth the investment to learn so much about it's history!

Our driver was Nuno Gomes & he was a lovely tour guide. We saw lots of Lisbon and learned the history behind everything. The rest of our bus were folks from Brazil but Nuno made sure we were informed & caught up with everything everyone was talking about. He gave us tips about the city & recommendations for the rest of our stay. Definitely would do a Living Tours experience again.
