For your sail, you will depart from the Frederiksted pier on our beloved 63ft custom catamaran, Jolly Mon. Watch Frederiksted and her surrounding beaches from a distance as we sail along the beautiful West End of St. Croix. Depending on the winds, we sometimes round Sandy Point to look for sea turtle tracks! While you sail, you can enjoy live music from local and visiting bands, experience exceptional service from our professional crew, and delight on unlimited rum punch!

What To Expect

See a famous green flash as the sun sets over the horizon, view the stunning historic Frederiksted waterfront, and see endangered sea turtle tracks on the Sandy Point National Wildlife Refuge (also the location for the famous beach scene of the Shawshank Redemption!). Listen to live music by local musicians, enjoy unlimited rum punch made with real Cruzan Rum (or fruit punch or water) and relax for your 2-hour sail on the calm, idyllic waters of the West End! This unique sailing excursion is not to be missed!

5.00We did the Tuesday evening sunset sail aboard the Jolly Mon with Lyric Sails and had a fantastic time! They have music and serve rum punch as part of the experience. The sail is from Frederiksted pier to Sandy Point and back, and we felt it was amazing experience. We were even lucky enough to see dolphins and turtles during the sail. Highly recommend Lyric!

5.00My husband and I took the sunset cruise with Brett and Taylor. We had a great sail. Live music by Kim, rum punch and new friends. Very thorough crew, felt safe and they were very welcoming. We would definitely recommend. Beautiful boat and island. Thank you lyrics sails.

5.00Brett was our captain and his crew were amazing . They made the experience so beautiful . Mercy child was the musician his talent is amazing. I highly recommend lyric sails from start to finish the experience was fabulous.. the sunset was beautiful and a bonus we saw dolphins 🐬
Might give it another chance, not sure yet.

5.00We had a great time on the Sunset Sail tour. It was very relaxing and everyone was friendly. There were only about 10 people on the boat. The staff was knowledgeable and told us about the area. The sail was only about 2 hours which was perfect. The ocean and sunset was absolutely beautiful. This activity is a must.

5.00TLDR; highly recommended We’ve taken the Lyric sunset sail a few times. The boat is well maintained and comfortable. The crew is knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and fun. The music is always fantastic. And the view is stunning. It’s worth every penny, every time. But this time something extra happened. As we were getting off the boat at the end of the trip, I dropped my cane in the water. The captain offered to get it for me. I have another cane on the island and at first I figured it wasn’t worth it. But he said it wouldn’t be a problem so I asked him to get it and the rest of my group left to go to the restaurant. At first, the captain tried reaching for the cane with a pole, but the pole wasn’t quite long enough. So he said he would DIVE INTO THE WATER to get it! I didn’t want him to go to that much trouble, but I suddenly realized I had no way back to the car without my cane other than asking my friends to come back and get me. So I kind of needed the cane now. Now things get crazy and funny. The captain hadn’t brought his swim trunks. So he STRIPPED DOWN TO HIS SKIVVIES, found some fins, and dove in the water to get my cane. It was amazing and funny and kind. I can’t recommend this cruise and this crew enough. We are going on another sunset sail with them tomorrow. We’ll enjoy every second. And this time, I will be more careful with my cane. :)
