• Brilliant afternoon with great food and wine.

  We attended our wine tour with Mikey last Friday and had a brilliant time. We visited four great venues A Tavola, Bunch, Queens and Trattoria 51. At each venue we had some amazing wines (5 bottles in total), accompanied by some great nibbles, garlic bread, cheeses, bread and balsamic, olives, pork cheek Bon Bon and pork belly bites. Mikey was so easy to get on with, really entertaining and so knowledgeable about wines, wine producing regions, grapes and wine tasting. We all thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and would highly recommend it. Excellent value for money. Thank you again Allister, Julie, Fletcher & Dawn.

  Great day on the Wine tour. We were introduced to some great new places and the people who run them, we'll definitely visit again. Mikey was a great and knowledgeable host.

  Really great tour with Mikey our leader. We visited four bars and had some excellent wines and sherries and lovely food which we weren't expecting. Mikey is very knowledgeable about wine and he made it a fun and interesting tour. Never knew Liverpool had such a great selection of independent wine bars . Can highly recommend this wine tour.

  We had the best girly afternoon exploring wine bars, with some we’d amazingly never been to before! We love wine and know a bit about it, but Mikey was really knowledgable and made it so accessible and fun. It was great to meet the people behind the bars as well and learn about how they choose their wines and why. Really great afternoon, would definitely recommend if you love wine and Liverpool and want to learn a bit more in a fun and relaxing way. Thanks for a great experience!

  Our evening was exceptional from beginning to end. Mikey, our sommelier and guide, was not only highly knowledgeable but also warm, engaging, and instrumental in making the experience unforgettable. Each venue brought its own unique charm, offering distinctive wines and thoughtfully curated small plates. We especially appreciated the detailed explanations and Mikey’s guidance on understanding various wine regions and flavour profiles. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a memorable and educational wine experience in a relaxed atmosphere.

  A fabulous experience of being taken to venues we have never visited before. Mikey (our tour guide) encouraged us to broaden our horizons concerning wine by getting us to detect what we flavours we could taste in the various wines. He then explained how we could get the maximum enjoyment from each glass. Each of the venues he took us to were knowledgeable about the pairing of the wine with small plate accompaniments and made the whole experience a memorable day. I would highly recommend this tour for either wine lovers or people who want to start learning more about the different grapes and styles of wine.

  From start to finish it was perfect. Our host/sommelier Mike was fantastic. Although we live relatively local he took us to places we’ve never discovered in our own general wandering. All the places of were very different but all had great wine and small plates that complimented each other. Mike was very knowledgeable and made it interesting but not stuffy or boring. The tour had short strolls between venues which Mike was able to tell us about their history. I understand venues differ with each tour depending on how busy the city is on particular days and numbers being accommodated. Our tour was a Sunday so it was just myself my hubby and Mike. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. It was excellent and look forward to seeing where these specific wine tours next go. As an aside previously I've never been a red wine fan but I’ve been converted 🍷
