Our leader was Hor Visal. He was the perfect guide with the most infectious smile and his command of english was first class. The bikes and equipment were well maintained. We were given water bottles. Hor explained that Soksabike supports local communities and each of our visits into the locals home were financially rewarded topped up by a tip from us. The delight on their faces is memorable. We were given clear safety instructions, Hor Visal ensured that we knew what each of his hand signals were as we crossed some busy main roads however, this wasn't a problem. There were plenty of visits/stops and a chance to chat to the local villagers and sample the local produce including rice, fruit, vegetables and rice wine. The tour was really excellent. A thoroughly memorable and enjoyable morning. We wish Hor well as he studies for his BA and dream to become a tour guide and which we know he will be a first class guide. We would thoroughly recommend this activity which is enjoyable, memorable and informative. Stephen & Dianne

A really engaging tour that takes you to places we would not otherwise have been meeting with local families and sharing their techniques in making and growing rice paper/dried bananas/fruit/rice wine/ sticky rice. Being on the bike was a good and safe way to get off the beaten track. Really engaging guide who took god care of us

Sopheak was an excellent and knowledgeable guide. All the stops on the ride were fascinating, the people who received us unfailingly friendly and helpful. A tremendous way to see some of the more outlying parts of this lovely little city. Worth noting that the bike I was given to ride was a very high-quality Trek mountain bike and very comfortable.

Our guide, Sopheak was excellent. He was very friendly and led us on a gentle 22km cycle around Battambang villages seeing local life. We stopped off and saw how rice paper is made, tried banana delicies, tropical fruits, sticky bamboo rice and fermented rice wine. It was good to see how locals people live and work. A thoroughly enjoyable morning and highly recommended. Thank you Sopheak you were great and good luck with your studies.

Beautiful experience that allowed us to immerse ourselves for a day in the local culture. Lisa, the student who accompanied us was perfect respecting our times and responding to all our curiosity. We could observe, smell and taste a piece of real Cambodia.

I really enjoyed this bike ride through villages outside of Battambang. What made the ride so special was the visits to families carrying out traditional crafts. They received a payment for our visit so there was no awkwardness or pressure, and I really enjoyed the insight into their lives, crafts and experiences and found it all fascinating. The snacks of tropical fruit and dried banana were very refreshing. Paul and Lisa were great leaders and we felt very safe as they held traffic up for us cross safely!

My wife and I went on the local livelihood half-day bike tour in Battambang. I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed the experience. Our tour guide, Visal, was top-notch. If you’re at all nervous about navigating the roads on two wheels, Soksabike’s bicycles are in great condition and they take excellent care of their guests. Every stop along the route was very educational and culturally enlightening. This has been the highlight of our time in Cambodia. If you’re considering a bicycle tour with Soksabike, sign up now! You’re in for a treat :)
