Fantastic half day with Pek and Pek visiting families who make rice paper, wines, fruit snacks as well as a visit to a local fish market and killing fields. Both guides were very knowledgeable and friendly with great English. Cycling was a great way to travel around. I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area.

This was a very enjoyable, very informative tour which gave us a great insight into the lives of locals. Pich was an excellent guide, ensuring we were safe at intersections, providing detailed information, answering our many questions, and showing great patience with us as we struggled to remember/ pronounce the Khmer words for hello and goodbye. All the places we went were interesting- don't miss the fish paste factory. Not too smelly but an insight into a different world. It was great to be able to sample the products- rice paper, banana chips and dried banana, rice wine, fruit, sticky rice - and to buy some ( no pressure). The Killing Fields Memorial was a sobering experience, but appropriate, especially since Pich had provided family backgrounds for some of the producers who had been affected during the Pol Pot years. The bikes were good, the Soksabike staff friendly, and very accomodating- we only booked the tour the evening before. We recommend it, especially if your guide is as good as Pich. Thanks for a fascinating, immersive experience.

Phal was our leader, supported by Lisa & Theara and they could not have done a better job. The bikes were good and the briefing thorough. Helmets included. We did not need the nine gears as it was flat terrain throughout. We travelled on roads and tracks. If there was a junction, our safety was a priority. We made stops throughout the tour to : see traditional rice paper making; visit a small dried banana business; eat fresh fruit at an old building; drink rice “wine” and see the distillation; see and eat traditional rice cake cooked in bamboo (delicious!). Phal explained everything and encouraged questions.

What a great tour! The bicycles were clean and well maintained and safely helmets were provided. The guides (Phal, Lisa & Theara) were excellent. We set off from the centre of Battambang and toured around small family enterprises on the outskirts of the town. The cycling was on flat, safe roads and tracks and the guides made sure everyone was safe. We visited a rice paper producer, a dried fruit producer, a rice “wine” distillery (very strong) and a sticky-rice-cake-cooked-in-bamboo shop. We also stopped for fresh fruit at a very old Cambodian house. All of the enterprises were small family-owned businesses and were very happy to share what they were doing and share their produce with us. Our guides were great at explaining everything and answering any of our questions. The tour took about three hours and we covered a very easy 24 kilometres on flat roads. A great tour. Thoroughly recommended.

We had an excellent experience with Soksabike cycling for half day around Battenbang. Pek led us excellently throughout and told us interesting stories about the local peoples businesses, lives, cultures and customs with much enthusiasm and respect. We were given excellent bikes that were measured to us and with a good safety briefing including testing of brakes etc. before we headed out. Visal also ensured our safety and added to our enjoyment of the day!

We enjoyed an extraordinary day discovering the local lives in Battambang, discovered the city’s outskirts, met small biz owners and local family enterprises. The carefully curated itinerary provided an insight into their daily lives and the hard work behind their livelihoods. Phalla was our wonderful guide who bridged the language barrier and a great bike leader, capably navigated us safely through dizzying traffic and potholes. An unforgettable experience, we loved meeting the friendly faces and hearing about their stories. We left the tour with a new appreciation for Cambodia’s culture and history. Thank you and Sok sabay!
