What To Expect
Luss
We visit Luss, one of Scotland’s prettiest highland villages sitting on the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond. As you stroll around the village you’ll find rows of little cottages that come alive in spring and summer with over-flowing floral displays. These avenues of blooms will lead you to the pier where you can enjoy panoramic views of Loch Lomond and of Ben Lomond on the other side.
Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park
The name ‘Trossachs’ comes from the Gaelic meaning ‘the bristly country’. Its thick forest, gushing waterfalls and tranquil lochs were the backyard of one of Scotland’s most notorious outlaws Rob Roy MacGregor, who gained notoriety as a bandit and soldier but ended up a Scottish folk hero. He’s immortalised in the film Rob Roy and in the historical novel of the same name by Sir Walter Scott, who was also inspired by this wild, romantic landscape to pen his epic poem Lady of the Lake.

5.00Really good trip and our guide Colin was excellent and very entertaining. Visiting Loch Lomond was particularly memorable and he even managed to stop the coach in order for us all to take some pictures of highland cows. The trip run on time and we were back at the cruise terminal bang on time which is very critical if you are on a British cruise!

5.00We had an absolutely fantastic day with Dave from Wow Scotland! From start to finish, he made the tour feel personal, relaxed, and genuinely fun. Exploring Loch Lomond and Stirling Castle was incredible, but what really made the experience stand out was Dave himself. He’s the perfect mix of knowledgeable and entertaining—full of great stories, history, and just the right amount of humor. You can tell he really loves what he does. And of course, seeing the Highland coos up close was a highlight we won’t forget anytime soon! If you’re considering a tour with Wow Scotland, don’t hesitate—I would recommend.

5.00Do yourself a favour and avoid ship priced shore excursions. We had a fantastic day out with this company. From meeting us at our ship to returning us before the ship sailed, we had a great time. We really enjoyed the local snacks - such a thoughtful touch. Our driver, Marc, was warm and friendly.

5.00Firstly Gary the greatest guide ever as he was all about pleasing the guests he was touring. Loving dedicated and extremely talented professional and knowledgeable. Most would tour of all the tours we did!! You gotta love this guy!! The tour discover Scotland was fabulous and Gary made it stupendous. Definitely ask for Gary the great one!! Enjoy, you absolutely will!!
