Scotland in its natural state, Winter the capital of the north. Spectacular. Many things to see in the city. Pity the castle isn't open to the public. It is a good base for visits to the many strengths of the surrounding area Food is our handicap along with beer prices, wiski, and extras. The weather accompanied us, but you have to be prepared cold, rain, pedrisco, snow and wind in a few hours of the same day. The locals aren't scared and go about their lives like nothing else.

This review is for the Santa Cruise. It was absolutely blooming brilliant. Santa didn’t just make an appearance. He was around the WHOLE hours boat trip. Interactive games for older ones. A cute Scottish Santa story for the younger ones around the tree with furry blankets. Mince pies for adults, Christmas cookies for kids. Coffee and juice. A gift by Santa and LOADS of photo opportunities. It really exceeded our expectations. Well worth it.

Pleasant and valid experience to enjoy the lake from a different perspective. The round-trip cruise takes about an hour and offers beautiful views of the natural landscape of Loch Ness and the picturesque Urquhart Castle. It didn’t excite me to the point of calling it excellent, but it’s an experience I would do again. Clean and reliable boat.

We had family visitors so took them on the 50 minute cruise departing from the Clansman Hotel. We've done the cruise before and it didn't disappoint. Checking in at the booth was easy as we'd bought our tickets online in advance, we just had to show the email as confirmation. The cruise was great, interesting commentary and lots of indoor seating with fantastic views of the scenery. It's great being able to buy a coffee or drink whilst sailing, makes the experience even more relaxing. Big shout out to all the staff involved, everyone was friendly and welcoming which makes a real difference.

Very good tour.We were taken by coach to the start of the cruise. The driver of the coach (Linda) was very informative,it was only 15 minutes to the canal. The boat trip again was excellent and we were told all as we past local landmarks. After arriving at Urquhart castle we had a hour there before boarding the coach for the 1 hour trip back via a different route.Again Linda kept us well informed about many things as went past them.A excellent afternoon well spent.

The hour long boat trip on 31.10.25 with Jacobite Cruises was so enjoyable. All the staff were friendly, helpful and informative. The weather was pretty much perfect with little wind so Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle were at their best. There was a potted history of Loch Ness playing inside the boat which was very interesting.

We were traveling as a group of 4+a pup. I was able to book the other 3 people in our group on a boat trip+Urquhart Castle tour while the pup and I booked the 1 hour boat cruise. It was really neat because our boat picked up the other 3 from the castle so we got to experience half the trip together while they still got to experience the castle! The booking process was easy, the boarding process was easy. We really enjoyed the experience.
