The boat ride to and from the castle on Loch Ness was extremely well organized, on time, and a lot of fun. They shared great information in both directions about the search for Nessie and the history of the Loch and the castle. The land portion had just about the right amount of time allotted although another 30 minutes would have been perfect. The boat had plenty of seating both inside and outside. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who is in the area!

The boat ride is a nice way to travel to the castle; we would have liked more time at the castle, the drop off point at the water should have audio available to visitors as there is not enough time to go to visitor to get an audio. The bus driver very kindly stopped on the way back for us to take pictures of the Highland Cows

weather was beautiful, which I have heard is unusual in Scotland! Very interesting commentary on a lovely boat ride. We enjoyed the stop at the castle, just wish we had more time to spend there. Do not miss the introductory film at the castle! The bus driver was entertaining and informative . Nice way to spend an afternoon. We VERY much appreciated that therewas only minimal reference to the Loch Ness monster

This tour is an amazing way to spend half a day. Pick up and drop off location was very convenient and our bus driver had a hilarious sense of humour! The cruise on Loch Ness is a must do as is seeing Urquhart Castle. As a bonus, we got to see Hairy Coos on the way back to Inverness.

I did this tour on 02/06/26 and absolutely loved it! Atis our guide was awesome and definitely played a part in making the trip so great. Despite the rainy weather the scenery was still magical. Also the guide on the cruise (I forgot his name) was brilliant. The hot chocolate on the cruise is tasty too 😋 only thing I would change is I’d have liked more time at the castle. Nonetheless would recommend this to anyone. Also seeing the hairy coos at the end was a real bonus!

We travelled on 13th June 2026, a misty wet Saturday morning & our driver Kieran from D&E tours was brilliant. The history & local info he shared in such a relaxed manner, as he had to deal with unannounced road closures was exceptional as he had to get us to the Loch Ness cruise boat in time. Give the man a raise! Would certainly recommend Jacobite cruises based on our experience yesterday & Urquhart Castle interesting and would advise everyone to watch the 8 minute film show there. Our driver Kieran again delivered more info as we passed villages & was great again on the journey back to bus station. Wonderful morning.

Great tour of Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle. Cruise was a bit chilly, given the rainy weather. But overall enjoyable.

The cruise was wonderful, very informative. The castle was equally good, the movie was short but informative. The cost was definitely right for all that was included. The only off putting bit was the coach driver, maybe he has a ‘different’ sense of humour as he spent the whole journey there and back complaining about Inverness, the council, being a driver and the long shifts, women playing Shinty, and generally just rambling. He didn’t have much good to say about Inverness and made a point of saying it was once one of the happiest places to live. It not any more…..not what you want to hear ad a tourist. A lot of the time you didn’t know what he was talking about and most of the people on the bus eventually stopped listening. Apart from that, the trip was definitely worth it, the coach was clean and comfortable.

The tour bus was comfortable and we appreciated stopping to see the Highland cows. Once we got to the boat it was a "cattle call", so crowded and impersonal. The young man who told us about the Loch Ness was very good. The castle is interesting and the movie about the history is a must see.
