The castle is big but we only had one hour to explore which included 10 minutes finding the way back to the bus. We would enjoy more if we had more time in the castle.

I liked that this tour included a boat tour on Loch Ness and not only a bus tour. Try the Highland hot chocolate.

The tour is very good in terms of transport by bus and boat and the staff who work but the instructions were always given in English and NO we did not understand DErlas we were about DE miss the bus back. NO we assumed that the boat leaving the port would return to the same point but only took us to the castle and on the way back thanks to a passenger running to find us hearing that the bus was leaving without us, we did not miss the turn. Conclusion: It ES important that passengers who speak other languages receive written instructions.

We took a bus to the boat (about 20 min). The boat ride itself was an hour to the castle and then we had about an hour to tour the castle. The boat ride was pleasant and the Loch was beautiful! The bus ride back took about 50 min and the bus driver talked about the scenery and Scottish history. Overall it was a pleasant trip though the ride back was a bit long.

Driver/Guide on the bus was great. Friendly, helpful and shared a lot of great detail I like when on a tour like this. The boat was similar. We had excellent weather as the rain held off for us and the river and lake waters were calm. The boat having people not stopping off at the castle presented an unusual issue I wasn’t expecting. As they weren’t themselves going to the castle, they seemed to talk loudly over the boat guide giving details about the sites in and around the castle. I would also suggest a little more time at the castle. It was a nice summer day so there was a lot of people there and you often get stuck in places while someone takes 40 pictures for their personal Instagram story and it makes it difficult to see all the details and sites around the castle grounds. I can only assume that because of all the pictures being taken, that’s why Nessie didn’t make an appearance for us. The tour itself was a fantastic experience, definitely recommend to solo travelers and groups alike.
