Our driving tour with Grant Driving Tours Scotland was nothing short of magical. Bill, who was our our guide, led us to sights we’d never have found on our own, revealing breathtaking, hidden parts of Loch Ness. He showed a warmth and enthusiasm that made us feel as if he were sharing these places for the first time. Our journey included the famous Urquhart Castle and Fort Augustus and, truly wonderful though these were, it was the secret gems that left us spellbound: the jaw-dropping views from the highest point on the southern road and a charming Victorian folly on the northern side - both offering perspectives of Scotland that took our breath away. Bill’s attention to detail was impeccable, from his rich knowledge of local lore to the immaculate and luxuriously comfortable vehicle that made our journey as smooth as it was memorable. If you’re looking to experience Scotland’s beauty in the hands of a truly dedicated guide, this tour is an absolute must!

Referring to Bill Grant as a "tour guide" is like calling a Ferrari a "car." Bill shared everything he knew about the length, breadth and width of Scottish history, culture and even humor. More importantly, he did so in an edifying and natural way, never utilizing some boring tour guide rote. We were blessed to have him tour us privately throughout the country for four days and we can truly say this: If you don't know Bill, you don't know Scotland! Bill also served as our guardian angel. He ensured that we embarked and disembarked, entered and exited through the correct spots. And when we missed a boat ride due to operator error, he quickly recalculated exactly how we could still catch a different boat at a different launch and STILL retain our itinerary for the day! The vehicles Bill used for touring were extraordinarily comfortable and you are unlikely to find another native Scottsman with his deft driving abilities. Bill was a gift to us and far surpassed any reasonable expectations we had. We cannot recommend him enough!
